If you count from her initial entrance (chapter 239) to her definite reveal as Dr. Araide (chapter 432), 193 chapters.

In a sense, though, we knew who Vermouth was by the end of her first appearance. This is the first time we've ever not known completely what a BO character is even supposed to look like.

If you consider this arc to start with Akai's death in chapter 609, we're 191 chapters in -- if revelations aren't made now, it will arguably become the longest Conan arc.

I find it interesting that now a few are thinking that this Bourbon is another Kir ( I think it could be her contact ) and is not a threat but an ally to Conan. If that is the case then Okiya becomes a possible Bourbon. Also as I have pointed out earlier, I find it interesting the possible BO is called Bourbon as both Rye and Bourbon are kinds of whiskey which could suggest they are one and the same.

I've seen this theory crop up a few times before, often in the context that Okiya is Bourbon or Akai is re-infiltrating the Org again. I don't think the BO are dumb enough to codename Akai again. A sympathetic, basically good Okiya-Bourbon is virtually required to not create a bunch of contradictions. I haven't seen a theory yet that manages to satisfactorily nail the usual issues, (Okiya knowing about how to operate Conan's tracking glasses, Ran's feeling she has met Okiya before, Conan's trusting Okiya around Haibara, and Gundam name puns) but Glass Heart at DCW did a pretty good, relatively few contradictions, workup of the the OS=B theory that went along the lines of Okiya, who wasn't in the Black Org at the time, used to date Akemi. Akai came in between, then Akemi got killed. Bourbon then joined the Black Org to take revenge against Shuuichi, but otherwise has a more decent personality than most Org agents. He looks out for Haibara out of memory to her sister which precludes him from hauling either Conan or Haibara in.

And I also find it interesting that We get Vermouth instead of Gin meaning this Bourbon might not be so BO after all but the possibility of either CIA or FBI enters the picture.

Vermouth would have to show up sooner or later if Bourbon is Scar Akai because Vermouth would be the natural person to make masks for him and because they are both in recon division. Vermouth bailing Scar Akai out at the dept store was the first major validation.

All this comments of people wanting to "kill" gosho if he changes the subject... I really don´t think he will tell who Bourbon is right now, 2 of the characters are pretty new, he just put the three suspects in line and now he can play with that. I would find it very anticlimatic if he says who Bourbon is right now.

This. Bourbon won't be revealed until deeper in the confrontation when there has been some buildup. Okiya, Sera, and Amuro just met. We may have a "normal" case following this, but with the three plot characters on the move, normal doesn't mean non-plot.

When I was reading I thought Amuro was referring to Sera, who had just arrived on the scene. (So that would mean that he is acquainted with her) But someone else here thought that he is referring to Vermouth... so I'm divided now.

It's one of those typical Gosho "too vague to interpret type lines". It could directed at anyone (Sera who is close, Vermouth who is far away), even as a delayed reaction to Okiya. With this kind of thing, it's better to craft a deduction on other evidence, and then make sure the quote doesn't contradict your theory. It's pretty vague though, so it works for pretty much any idea.

The hilarious thing is, Conan himself has never been shown giving one thought as to who Bourbon is after "Bourbon" was introduced. He doesn't even know that there are three official suspects now.

I think that's because he doesn't know he is being BO stalked again. Sure there are suspicious people, like Sera, and Conan clearly told Hattori she was being unduly nosy, but nosy people haven't always been bad (Hattori, Jodie, Akai, Eisuke), and Conan mentioned a hunch he has that Sera is not bad. With Vermouth, it took a Haibara flip out and some stolen Kogoro case files before he realized he or Haibara might be a target. Assuming Conan knows Okiya's identity, Haibara hasn't flipped at anyone non-Okiya (that he knows about) and no one has stolen anything. Conan did think about Scar Akai's identity though (while running down the the escalator). He should be more worried about Scar Akai knowing Kogoro's cell number. All this said, I think Conan is a bit behind the ball and should be acting more cautious. Maybe he is getting cocky because he thinks Okiya will pick up on things (and tell him about them) before trouble happens.

Yeah, the only thing that will disappoint me (if very slightly) is if Haibara doesn't haul Conan off to the side like "Listen here you, we're in serious danger you know!"
And Conan will be all "Whaaaaaa?" until she explains herself. And then he'll be happy that the BO is nearby since he's weird like that :X

Except Haibara doesn't exactly trust Conan with her thoughts right away (detecting Vermouth), and Conan has completely strung her out with Okiya's identity this whole time. It's not exactly a fair position for her, and she probably resents Conan for it at least a little.

Could it lead to the confrontation between Ai and Sera ?

If Sera and Haibara have a confrontation, I would not be surprised it happens because Sera is trying to find out what this picture means. Making the assumption that Akai and the other FBI didn't tell Sera anything about Akai's investigation, that picture is the only physical thing I can think of that would tie Shuu to Conan and Ai that Sera could potentially get a hold of. (Accidentally sent back home when it was mistaken or mixed in with the rest of Shuu's belongings per the custom of sending a dead soldier's personal items back to family or kin. Akai isn't a soldier, but it's close enough.)

How would Ai and Sera know each other? I know they will have a showdown but I can't think of any possible reasons as to why they would know each other and have a showdown.

When I read showdown I immediately think of Okiya vs Shinichi confrontation way back when he was introduced. It was an deduction battle, so maybe it will be the same here.

@chekhov point blank question what about the first part - Bourbon being another Kir possible her contact. I feel there is a very real possibility that Kir and vermouth had a talk. They both want to bring down the Bo. And it was clear Vermouth knew that Kir was a mole though she most likely think FBI then CIA. Kir brings Bourbon to met Vermouth and they discuses plans. These plans include the protection of Conan and company and agreement on both sides that Vermouth was be free to go and live her life once the BO is brought down. Vermouth ask that they keep her true agenda under wraps and be careful not to make stupid mistakes like what Camel did. Note I am not suggesting the Okiya is Akai or even is Bourbon. It just timing might suggest that.

Stupid finals are almost over and finally got to read the file. The last pages of 800 were simply hilarious (though a bit expected, seeing as this case went).
Okiya, Amuro and Sera are about as subtle as the Animaniacs.
