In a normal case, I wouldn't have pointed it out either.
But in this file, it was a part of Conans deduction to the case. Which makes it suspicious.
And the touching-the-face is more important than the phone one. Since I also swap around the phone to the right or left ear, depending what I'm doing/on the mood.

But I'm 100% right-handed, yet I still unknowingly use my left hand to "touch my face" most of the time I'm surprised, coughing, or thinking something...

But that's not the point. The point is Conan said himself that when surprise people use their dominant hand to touch their face.
Anyway, Amuro use each hand o touch, so...

Yep. It's because Conan said it, it's "100% true" (but in the manga world). Or more like, you can say it's a hint/fact for the DC world. Even if people in the real world don't do that.
Same for the case where Gentas dad had glasses and had his eyes half-closed because of that. In the DC world, this becomes a fact. This was then al.so used for Okiya=Akai theory.
But in reality, who would wear glasses with diopter the whole time that hurts your eyesight? And is bad if you need to aim for something (like shooting) While you could just wear glasses like Conan, without any diopter.

And Amuro was in deep thought and surprised. You can see that on his face/eyes and that he was thinking "Why here".
While, where he was run over in the restaurant, it wasn't such a great impact that he'd forget to use his right hand. (because he was already bumped once by that guy before)

Coming back to the thopic If the handeness in this file was a "Hint" to determine who the hell Bourbon is, it got all of us totally lost.

I'm curious how this file is going to be wrapped up. Don't know/don't think that Bourbon's identity is going to be revealed immediately, but now all three Bourbon-suspects are in one place together (assuming Okiya hasn't driven off).. are they going to introduce one another, all being buddies of the detective agency? or is each one just going to go "KTHXBYE" and drive off?? even if Bourbon's identity isn't revealed right away it will be fun to see each person's reaction.

When I was reading I thought Amuro was referring to Sera, who had just arrived on the scene. (So that would mean that he is acquainted with her) But someone else here thought that he is referring to Vermouth... so I'm divided now.

I don't really buy the hand-touching-face being conclusive of your dominant hand... I think it's true that when I'm shocked I use my right (dominant) hand (though I never keep track haha), but when I'm thinking I use either. In fact I'm probably more likely to use my left hand because my right hand would likely be preoccupied with something else e.g. writing or holding something. In that scene it looks like Amuro's right hand was in his pocket. I dunno about you, but I wouldn't instinctively take my hand out of my pocket just to scratch my chin if my other hand is free. So he might have instinctively used his left hand because it was his "free" hand at the time.

If Bourbon's identity isn't revealed in the next files,then at least the confrontation between Ai and Sera should take place...
I can't imagine Gosho giving us a DB case after that!!!

I don't believe he could be referencing to Sera. He saw her before in the side mirror of his car after all (see previous chapter). I'm rather divided between vermouth and Okiya. It's possible he noticed Vermouth on the bridge at that very moment, although he didn't have a star-shaped drawing to show his surprise when he recognized her ... Okiya on the other hand could make sense, since he saw him when he tried to shoot(?) the tires and thus starts pondering about it a bit later. But the "why here" signifies he's referencing to a person he actually KNOWS, which doesn't really add up for Okiya (or at least not as far as we know).

So I'm going for Vermouth right now.

I don't think it'll be revealed who's Bourbon in the next files. Gosho will probably add some more suspicion on the characters and reveal Bourbon at the end of the arc. So, like for the hospital/Akais death case, around 10-20 files? :V

Perhaps rather than "surprised," I should have written "shaken" ... or whatever that emotion is when, you know, someone freaking shoots someone in front of you.

So it's not like, "Oh, I'm surprised you're here" it's "OMG WTF is going on!?!?!??!?"

All this comments of people wanting to "kill" gosho if he changes the subject... I really don´t think he will tell who Bourbon is right now, 2 of the characters are pretty new, he just put the three suspects in line and now he can play with that. I would find it very anticlimatic if he says who Bourbon is right now.

what is so worng with discovering who Burbon is right now? Sure two of buron suspects are quite new but concept of who Burbon had been going on for eons. I'd say it's about time he tell us who Bourbon really is.

it is fine this way, there are lots of things for next chapter that do not involve Bourbon's identity. Conan still doesn't realize what person that is still as beautiful as ever stopped by. Haibara will probably want to talk to him to tell him that in the chase and after there was a BO agent or more present.

He was probably waiting for there to be three suspects Now he's like "Oh, time for me to do some deducing! 's 'bout time!"

Haibara will probably want to talk to him to tell him that in the chase and after there was a BO agent or more present.

Yeah, the only thing that will disappoint me (if very slightly) is if Haibara doesn't haul Conan off to the side like "Listen here you, we're in serious danger you know!"
And Conan will be all "Whaaaaaa?" until she explains herself. And then he'll be happy that the BO is nearby since he's weird like that :X

Could it lead to the confrontation between Ai and Sera ? Okiya seemed to scape from the scene, I doubt that the tree possible bourbon met in next file... less if they noticed Vermouth.
