So I'm guessing the phone call timeline is like this (given Sera=Akai's sister, Okiya=Akai, Amuro=Bourbon):

Sera knocks out the robber on her motorcycle
Okiya notices Sera
Amuro notices Vermouth on the overpass, and wonders "Why here...?" (why was she following or why she decided to make contact here)
Okiya puts on a earphone/mic to make a phone call (so Haibara doesn't hear ...), presumably to call Sera after spotting her here
Okiya then notices something, from his side mirror, presumably Vermouth on the bridge.
Vermouth calls Amuro and we see his phone ring
Sera also puts on an earphone/mic set to answer the phone call from Okiya?
We hear Vermouth talking to Amuro ...
And in 801... maybe we will hear the conversation where Okiya talks to Sera (to ask her wtf was she thinking and warn her about Vermouth/Bourbon?)

I was amused to find out that apparently Conan would think I am left handed. I am definitely right hand/leg dominant and I put my left leg on the table when I jump up on one like the robber because I use my right to propel, and hold the tape roll in my right because I am used to packing boxes and it works better to have the roll in your dominant hand. I did notice the robber used her left hand when gesturing in shock, but I judged based off of my own behavior that the other things indicated right handedness. In general though, why would you use your non-dominant hand when holding something as important as a gun? If you were rushed, you might miss if you were clumsy or had to switch.

Conan getting tricked my the model gun is hard to believe. He has been shown to be good at identifying that kind of thing.

Anyway, I am preparing a longer set of deductions related to the plot lot, but it will have to wait until late tonight because I will be busy and it will take an hour or two to work up.

Amuro's car took a lot less damage than I thought it would.

Ditto for the leg thing, I don't pay much attention to the tape though, it reminds me of the LA episode where they claimed you hold cups with your dominant hand, something I barely ever do (it's probably habit because I often try to do more complicated things with my dominant hand while I just hold the cup with my left).

I would think it was a mixture of because he was in a rush and didn't have much time because he only had until she returned, the fact it was dark (though that would be fixed by his watch) and the fact that he expected to see three guns because altogether there should be one for each robber. It was somewhat similar when Haibara threatened him with a 'gun' during Desperate Revival. Though it could also be that Aoyama is focusing more on the characters than the case because of all the plot stuff he has to get right.

Could be reinforced against certain things (bulletproofed?) because of the Org and what sort of jobs can get involved with that. Having it reinforced would make it cost even more though so I really have to wonder at how well funded he is and if the BO can afford to give that much to one member, how much money they must have overall...

Shouldn't Conan have some hearing damage now -- that is, after 800 page 8, when she fires off the gun with the muzzle right next to Conan's head?  Maybe this will be a detriment to spying and overhearing the sneaky phone calls going on in 800+? =)

The handedness of that gun does seem a bit ridiculous, if you are relying on masks/gloves to hide your identity there's no need to hold a gun in your non-dominant hand.  The model gun bit seemed more like a plot device for the third robber to have a gun, but that much doesn't bother me as much as the handedness.

Regarding Amuro's car, Like Stopwatch said, maybe we will learn that Amuro's car had some modifications, like the body was reinforced =)

Also props to Abs. for getting the money laundering with gyudon ticketing machines right =)

I'm left-handed and I put my left leg on the table first and put rolls of tape in my right hand, just like Conan mentioned. It probably depends how dominant one of your hands/legs really is. Using the legs/arms in certain situations as evidence is very tricky as there will always be exceptions. We'd have to do a poll to see...

I think Amuro is the one directly helped rescue Conan, and kind of protect Ran too. Well Sera DID help, but I think less than Amuro. If Sera hadn't been there I think Amuro would also do something to the robber.

So the one who has gained trust is more likely Amuro I think

Ai said she felt somebody folowing them... in the exact moment that Amuro and Sera were driveing just behind Okiya's Car. Vermouth couldn't figure out that Amuro was going to crash the culprit's car out of the blue, If she was following them, she'd have past them in the highway not appearing suddenly in the bridge.

Maybe Vermouth told the robber to kidnap Conan (like vol42) and drive the car to that street, told Brb to complete his rescueing right under the bridge and waited there?
