What was Amuro's line?!
I noticed that in the DCTP release of file 800, in page 15 the top right panel, Amuro says : "Why here?". On the other hand, in some spoiler translations earlier it was translated by two translators as "Why is she/he here?" as it wasn't clear from the spoiler pic if Amuro was looking at Sera or Okiya. Someone even transcribed the line in Japanese and it contained Koitsu/Aitsu which is that joker or that guy....... Explanation plzz??!!
Update: I believe the line is this : ã

Re: What was Amuro's line?!
At least one person mistook Conan's line for Amuro's. Amuro didn't use Koitsu/Aitsu.

Re: What was Amuro's line?!
Ok, that clarifies it. Also KnightusMax said the following in the spoiler Cbox:
KnightusMax: The line in question is actually "Naze koko ni...". It lacks a gender at all, however, in normal context one would assume it says "Why (is he) here?" or "Why (is she) here?"
Thanks Chekov and Knighus

Right... Due to the ambiguity of the line, I just completely eliminated the subject of the question, rather than use he/she/it: "Why is he/she/it here?"

@ Abs . Is 'they' too general - instead of Why is he/she/it here to why are they here

The below link is not to show you up. In fact they agree with you. But at times they also say you might be able to use it and likely in the future they will be usable as a singular pronoun.

Re: What was Amuro's line?!
As this is Detective Conan and we are talking about a line of dialogue that could be a pivotal clue but is purposely ambiguous in terms of gender AND number,
"They" would lead to people saying, "OMG Amuro is totally thinking about Okiya and Sera (and maybe even Vermouth)!"
"He" would lead to people saying, "OMG Amuro is totally wondering about Okiya! I guess he doesn't care about Sera or Vermouth."
"She" would lead to people saying, "OMG Amuro is totally wondering about Sera! I guess he and Okiya are working together" or "OMG Amuro is totally wondering how Vermouth tracked him and might be secretly working with Sera and Okiya!"
Not having a pronoun at all would leave all possibilities open, and leave the reader guessing, as was originally intended.
