Who is the culprit in the Wii game? SPOILER.

Post by Brekclub85 »

Since the US release date of the English dub of the Conan video game for the Wii is, as far as I know is still unknown, and a youtube playthrough of the game is only up to the point just after the 2nd body has been found in the "Labyrinth of Ice", I was wondering if anyone who has and beaten the game could tell who the villain is?

And, for those who have beaten it, did you think the mystery was easy or tricky to figure out?

Well... there were too many suspects to completly figure it out.
It also has been a while since I played it and I don't have the game with me at the moment. So I don't remember everything. Anyway, here is what I remember:
Spoiler:
The main villain is the Director of the Mirage. He did most of the murders - but not all, one is a diversion by another culprint.
The mystery itself was quite hard, it was easy to eliminate some suspects early on but in the end you had 2 or 3 people who were highly suspicious but you couldn't prove anything.
But the way the game is played it is quite easy to solve the sub-steps (sub-mysteries) you need to solve to advance the story.

Wait, does it have different endings? Because when I played it was
Spoiler:
The director's wife who was also the magician's bit sister getting revenge
I liked the Clue Chain process, but I really hated the minigames. And really, with the Wii's graphical power, what was up with the pre-N64 graphics and horrible camera angles?
That aside, it was a good game and a clever mystery, but far too short IMO.

As I said I played the game a while ago and can't remember exactly.
Spoiler:
All I remembered is that the director kidnapped Ayumi in the end and that the game was over after beating him. Or do I confuse something there?
Yeah, the minigames were really primitive. Still, played them enough to build maximum relationship with Ayumi. Too bad it has no effect on the ending.  ::)

Spoiler:
The director did kidnap Ayumi. But he wasn't the murderer. He was trying to escape before his past crimes were revealed. Then his wife tried to kill him for said past crimes, after killing the other three people for various connections to those past crimes or being unfortunate witnesses.
