Bourbon uses Can't Hit A Guy With Glasses. Defence is massively boosted.

Hattori uses Hot-Headed Strike. Can't Hit A Guy With Glasses is negated. Bourbon takes a crapload of damage.

Bourbon uses I Might Be Akai. Evasiveness increases.

Hattori's "Doesn't Care" ability negates this. Hattori uses Bokken Strike.

Bourbon faints.

Boss: "Go, Vermouth! Use Copy!"

Vermouth: "Ditto! umm, I mean... Ver Vermouth!"

Vermouth turns into Hattori and uses Freak Out.

Hattori is freaked out by coming face-to-face with himself and is paralyzed.

Vermouth uses Bokken Strike. Critical Hit! Hattori faints.

Conan: "Hattori, return! Go, Jodie!"

Vermouth uses Copy to turn into Jodie.

Jodie is unimpressed. Jodie uses Revolver and Vermouth loses HP.

Boss: "This will randomly become a Double Battle! Go, Calvados!"

Calvados uses Surprise Snipe. Jodie is hit and loses a ton of HP.

Conan: "oh yeah? Then Go Akai!"

Akai uses Legbreaker. Calvados is in the red.

Jodie uses In My Sights. Vermouth is paralyzed.

As I guessed, this is a Sonoko files.

I don't think you have any connection with the number of the magazine. But if you mean you 'll have a MIB case (or Okiya or Akai) on december or january I would say that's not impossible. But I think it's more probable we'll have something in january. We didn't see Sonoko for one year and it's time for her to make a short appearance (maybe with Makoto?).

And she also thought about Makoto in this week's chapter. I think that's possible we see him appearing at the end of this file...

If we have another loving stuff in this file, this will difficult to deny that Aoyama plans to end up every couple before the end of the manga...
So that means the end is nigh after all...

Let's see in 3 or 4 weeks

Well, I think maybe the ending of this case has a great moment. Just like File 621, after the ending of normal Karaoke murder case, Conan and Eisuke chat about some loving scene, then after Conan hears Eisuke said someone from FBI is dead, Conan think that's OK (mean Akai is still alive since he and Akai planned for faking death). If no, let's look forward for 2010 first chapter.

True. There's still those mysterious cases that Melissa mentioned were in an art book interview. I'm taking those as markers for the runup to the end. One at least seems pretty easy to identify when it appears.

isn't eri and kid part of the plot?

"Plot" is primarily concerned with the BO and APTX 4869, and possibly Ran finding out the truth. Eri and Kogoro's arguments are a subplot, as is Kid (for the moment).
