The Structure of the DC Story Arcs (or: Why the Bourbon Arc

Hello everybody! I tried to do a detailed analysis on how Gosho constructs the DC story arcs. I’ve come to certain conclusions about which I’d like to know what you think (yes, mostly about the Bourbon Arc given “precedentsâ€

Probably because it's not working, I'm more interested in what slider's response was than another breakdown of why the Bourbon mystery sucks

I agree with your observation on this arc and why it doesn't have the same appeal as the Vermouth one. That's all I can really say.

I suspected that Akai faked his death at the very chapter it was first shown...Conan324 wrote: i frankly never guessed that akai probably faked his death, and that okiya is akai.
so if didnt read in these forums, i would be as surprised as i was in the vermouth arc/
but then I went to DCW (the wiki) and read about t...then I continued to read the rest of the chapters...I started around last year to read DC manga (but I had read Magic Kaito years ago)

Well, I actually have not said that this arc is less difficult to guess, nor that it is bad. I said that, as it is, it's too static (there's no possible development of Conan's position in relation to other characters) to be dragged so long. I actually said I like the idea behind this story, but it would have worked way better, because of its unique characteristics (Conan already knowing what's going on, etc.), if it was either shorter (less fillers, as some have said) or less static.
