Also, it's fun how Amuro wrongly deducts that. If you assume he is Scar Akai, that is.

I'm guessing... both.  This is one of those times where I really wonder how much Conan cares to hide his identity.  He did something similarly stupid in front of Sera as well.  At this rate, the entire DC universe will know before it's over.

It all goes down to his sense of justice I guess. He MUST solve the case. And it's actually better to solve like this than throwing hints in front of every1 like he sometimes does. At least he doesn't attract direct attention to himself(assuming he wasn't seen, of course).

So if Amuro is BO and wants to stay near Kogoro in order to watch either him or Conan more closely, I wonder if he knew the Hatsune case he took would get him to Kogoro. That is, did he know Kogoro was friends with Banba before he took her case, and maybe even deliberately pointed Hatsune toward the DNA test hoping it'd come to a head that night and he'd get to watch Kogoro work? Or was it just a coincidence?

I guess it would be unusually hardcore if Amuro had a hand in her suicide like that, but it would also be sorta awesome if he were that cold.

Anyway, I'd like to see Azusa boss Amuro around at work before this is all over with. XD

I haven't been here in awhile, but suddenly, all these recent chapters are perking up my eyes. "New detectives" are gathering around Conan. Something does smell fishy. Either that or Conan might just end up with some extra backup in the detective department against the BO. (It seems like he's been constantly getting some secret help from all these "pain in the necks".)

Well, it would be interesting if Amuro is seriously faking his bad deducting skills. I would love to see him, Sera and Okiya all huddled in an enclosed room. Then, they start pointing fingers at each other until Conan comes in stating that he has figured out their identities.

Anyways, these recent chapters gave us a BO reference and an Akai reference. Joy... 
I mean, I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it or not in this thread (as it would take awhile to check), but I find the car suicide explosion to be very significant.  Especially how they described the impact of the explosion with the car. I find this more refreshing than seeing red paint, the kanji character for "red", a red room, a red object, etc. and etc.  ^__^

Read 794 again and I think apart from a new round of identity crisis, Gosho may try to deliver other messages through the words of Ran. Ran said "In the past, all they could do was figure out the blood type from saliva, but now you can know definitely whther or not it was that exact person". It was a little abrupt for her to think of saliva since Kogorou suggested getting DNA from muchos membrane cells, not saliva. The word "saliva" reminds me of file239 the black burial ranks (vol.24 file9 p2) where to reassure Ai, Conan stressed that he had already destroyed his teeth marks from the gum and Gin could at most figure out his blood type from the saliva. That chapter was published about 10 years ago and at that time DNA identification through saliva may not be feasible. Science advancing, I just wonder whether Gosho intends to make use of this clue. Besides, in file383 (Vol.38 file1), again Conan had left his gum to Gin. According to the timeline of Conan, it has been less than half a year so far and saliva sample properly reserved won't become invalid within 6 months. Then if Gin had picked up the saliva and run a test, it would have been a piece of cake for him to find out Kudou whose DNA data must be available. Fortunately, even so, Edogawa Conan didn't exist and there was no information on him,Gin was not able to draw the conclusion Conan=Kudou from the DNA.

yay! Finally the story move forward. If Sera figured out, Amuro also can. He must be rich so I make a guess he has money in American currency. He suddenly forked out money to be a student and he'll not to let Kogoro and Conan out of sight. I think Bourbon arc Gosho talk about become a story in each case. It's likely.

If B.O. is involved they'll indirectly be mentioned, Shinichi has to find case relating to B.O.; if Amuro's around he immediately figure out Sleeping Kogoro are showing sign of grave Conan's situation.
