Ai and Akai have both pointed out that she looks like Akemi so if this guy hates Akai because of Akemi he might try to woo Ran...which I would really much DISLIKE...I just tried to think up something that would make Amuro total bad guy in my books...

I don't think he'll go that far, but if Ran does something to try to protect Sera if Amuro is trying to kill/capture Sera with Ran present as well, it might make Amuro hesitate.

Now that you mention it, it does seem that way. Although I personally think that we all have imagined it.

I have the feeling that in the very last scene of the case (the tiny diamond-shaped square at the left corner), Amuro also seems to be smiling to Conan, not Kogoro.

I don't think he'll go that far, but if Ran does something to try to protect Sera if Amuro is trying to kill/capture Sera with Ran present as well, it might make Amuro hesitate.

I don't think that Amuro will risk capturing Sera when there's also a third person around. Especially when both of them are martial artists, it will only makes his goal more difficult to achieve. Even though he can always use gun, drug, electric-stunner... to neutralize them, that would make it too easy, and not to mention a little bit, well, "dirty" (even for a BO).

Of course you can assume that Ran just happens to be there by chance. But I really doubt that Gosho will repeat what has happened in the Vermouth arc (i.e. Ran jumps out from nowhere just to make a BO member hesitate, long enough for someone else to come and rescue them all).

do think Amuro pretended to be stupid. Without Amuro's suggestion,Conan couldn't find the key evidence—— cream on the soles of Banba's shoes. Since when asking for help, one would say "PLZ stop him" rather than "hold his legs" (Unless he hoped to keep the other person  lying on his face) , I believe he said so on purpose. As someone has mentioned a few posters earlier, when Kogorou was going to turn him down, Amuro was able to offer an attractive pay which a waiter's earning could be nowhere near.
Amuro's words "Hearing the brilliant deduction of you, I find myself shallow so I wish to start all over again " draw my attention. Though they don't seem that much odd, "start all over again" sounds parallel to Conan's comment on Kamon——"perhaps in order to restart everything she'd wanted to go back to the beginning..". I wonder if sth had happened to Amuro deeply changed his life when he planned to be a detective .
Anyway, Amuro is quiite a childish guy and  I can't stop thinking he was ex-boyfriend of Yumi.

and then someone says or does something and "berserk button" activates...

Hopefully the next series is an interesting one (I SWEAR, if any DB appears in the first two panels I'm gonna cancel my trip to Japan), and it doesn't turn out like all the Sera ones with just hints. Going by the numbers posted by Chekhov, it should be about time for something to happen

*Yeah, I know it's not going to happen, but imo it would be way better than the usual happy ending where everybody is alive, happy and in love. Off topic? Guess so...

What if....

Bourbon finds out that Okiya is Akai but realizes that Haibara is Sherry
but because of his one sided love to Akemi he wants her sister to be safe and to keep her safe he'll have to keep Conan safe too...and drawing attention to Okiya(Akai) would compromise their covers...
so he'll decide to swallow up his hate and Lie to other BO...
and therefore comes to Conan's side either them knowing or not...

what do you think? I'll say it again in other words:

He hates Akai because he thinks it's Akai's fault  Akemi died. He wants to be in good side of Akemis soul so he decides to keep Sherry safe and seeing Haibara he realizes the situation of Conan...and if he puts 2+2 he gets that Okiya must be Akai and Kir AND Conan helped him...(the phone)
so to keep Haibara safe he must keep them safe...TADAAA!!

this theory depends heavily on assumption that Bourbon is caring guy who loved Akemi more than anything...and believes in spirits somewhat...

I suggest you fork the Amuro related posts into a separate discussion topic. It's worked well for Sera and Amuro over at DCW so far.
