Wait, how is Akai Shuuichi named after Char Aznable?

Ikeda Shuuichi was Char's VA and Char was known as the Red Comet ('cause Akai=Red in Japanese)...or something like that, I still need to see Gundam D:

My question: How "effective" will Amuro be as a detective in this case? Will he intentionally get it 'wrong' after noticing Conan is working the scene just to see what he's up to (akin to Sera's recent "mishap"), or will he go more the Okiya route and just kind of share the spotlight a bit?

If that Amuro is Bourbon and also Scar Akai, then I think he's more the type that is eager, impatient and doesn't like to share the spotlight.
Because in the red shirt case, he messaged Kogoro with the solution and told him to hurry up (or similar). The message was also rude imo D:
So my guess is, if it takes too long, he'll just do the whole show himself. D:

Wait, how is Akai Shuuichi named after Char Aznable?

From DC wiki: Akai's name comes from the Mobile Suit Gundam character Char Aznable, whose nickname was the "Red (Akai) Comet", and Char's voice actor Shuichi Ikeda (who is also Akai's voice actor). Additionally, his alias, Dai Moroboshi, comes from Char's real name, Casval Rem Deikun (sounds like Dai-kun in Japanese). Moroboshi can also mean falling star, another possible allusion to Red Comet.[

Not because he ordered Bourbon, but because of how he ordered it. Sure, he might just be a super rude customer, but even rude customers don't expect the waiter to forget what they ordered so quickly, especially if it's so simple, and then tell em to not screw it up.

That's what I was trying to say.  Whether the fact that the order of bourbon is important or not is beside the point.

If sunglasses guy is a true detective, unless he is rotten (which he may be), he would not help his client kill someone or cover their crime. Haruka Sanji could just be bad though or maybe even a Yakuza type instead of a real detective hired to figure out if Kamon Hatsune was cheating. Another option is that maybe Sanji thought Banba Raita wanted to get Amuro fired in revenge and was going to help him with that. Next file will have more clues.

I think the bourbon thing is a red herring personally... Gosho just wants to build the list of possible suspects for Bourbon.

Hadaa made a good analysis, but I think that is doing an old trick of putting in the important character in a sea of unimportant ones. It is a popular technique for crime shows. It is something Gosho hasn't done before though, so I can't really be sure... Gosho is usually more explicit with the importance of characters, well at least with naming schemes.

If we consider that what Hadaa says is true (his name analysis was extremely impressive), we add in the fact that this is file 793, I honestly think that Gosho may be introducing in these Gundam character names to introduce Bourbon for the usual BO confrontation that occurs every 100 files or so. If that is the case then the next BO confrontation should be an interesting one. However Gosho just wants us to SEE him, not definitively know who he is. He has the naming scheme for Gundam relating to Akai, so this may lead into an Akai story arc. We reveal Bourbon and perhaps even reveal that Akai is in fact alive, or at least allude to it more strongly than before.

 Characters who have been introduced as case suspects in the "we didn't know they were going to be important (unless you guessed) until they were revealed to be at the end" sense include Okiya Subaru, Makoto, Akai Shuuichi, Jodie Starling, and Hattori Shizuoka. In a weaker sense we have Eri, Kobayashi Sumiko, and Kojima Genji.

That is a good point.
In Korea, The point has been questioned, too.

I think, that Conan#1 in the spoiler section raised a very-very interesting theory, that our groom and bride are/were actually brother and sister, but they did not know about it.
I mean, it makes sense, the DNA, the "reading minds", same bloodtype, same cicumstances (I presume divorced parents), same birthday (so they are basicly twins), all of that. Maybe someone told the bride over the phone and she just wanted to go away (to think about this?) that is why she said sayonara.
