After Shonen Sunday #52, it will start from SS#1 again. Due to last few years, after SS#1 will be #2-3, #3-4, #4-5 or #5-6, two of the combined issue. Since SS#52 is File 715, Kirin’s Horn solution case, then File 716 or New Year’s first chapter had the high possibility to be a big case.

In 2004 Dec, SS#1 is File 502 New Order, the BO story which Mizuhashi Rena revealed to be BO member Kir, anime based on Episode 425 Black Impact! The Moment the Black Organization Reaches Out.

In 2005 Dec 21, SS#3-4, which is File 550 Nail and Snake, the chapter which Eisuke imitated Rena’s lie detecting posture, 2006 Jan 4 SS#5-6 is File 551 The Identify of the Hammer. Continued until File 555 is Conan beginning to suspect Eisuke, there is also BO members chatting with each other, anime based on Episode 462-465 The Shadow of the Black Organization series.

In 2006 Dec, both SS#2-3 and #4-5 have no issue, the first chapter of 2007 in Jan 17 is File 594 The Fugitive, next week is File 595 until File 609 is the longest BO case ever, anime based on Episode 495-504 Clash of Red and Black series.

In 2007 Dec 5, SS#1 is File 632 Teleportation, SS#2-3 is File 633 and SS#4-5 is File 634 is Kid’s teleportation deduction and solution case respectively, anime based on Episode 515 Kaito Kid's Teleportation Magic.

The first chapter of 2008 is on Jan 9, File 635 which is based on Episode 524-525 The Blue Spark of Hate, Okiya appears a moment only, but later is Okiya’s deduction for paper airplane case, then the ending is Okiya drinking Bourbon, create a plot.

In 2008 Dec 13, SS#1 is File 674 Iron Tanuki, SS#2-3 is File 675 and SS#4-5 is File 676, they are Iron Tanuki’s deduction and solution case respectively, anime based on Episode 537-538 Kaito Kid vs the Strongest Vault.

The first chapter of 2009 is SS#6 on Jan 7, which is File 677 The Fated Individual, it is bank robbery case and also the return of Akai Shuichi, scar Akai or Bourbon appears.

Based on the points above, SS#1 for File 716 plus two combined issue and the first chapter of 2010 will have main character appear, since Kaito Kid has already appeared in File 712-715, then I predicted it will be FBI appeared, scar Akai or Okiya’s true identify getting more suspicious or even about Black Organization story.

I don't think you have any connection with the number of the magazine. But if you mean you 'll have a MIB case (or Okiya or Akai) on december or january I would say that's not impossible. But I think it's more probable we'll have something in january. We didn't see Sonoko for one year and it's time for her to make a short appearance (maybe with Makoto?).

But actually, even the appearance of the regulars characters depend of the season, you have sometimes some exceptions. For exemple, if Heiji 's cases often happen between April and June, I remember we saw him in August in 2005 (Magic Show case). And what about the MIB case in summer? Usually, Aoyama doesn't write about a character twice in year (except Heiji who often have double files). So I'm not pretty sure we can expect something so interesting in december or january.

But anyway, that's just my feeling. I can be totally wrong ^^
