Re: Detective Conan Files 793-??? Discussion Thread: Every S
while Glasses guy was helping the husband and Amuro was probably helping the wife with the same thing (considering they both had issues with the other cheating on them), I'm guessing that the two detectives may be related as well. Not because he ordered Bourbon, but because of how he ordered it. Sure, he might just be a super rude customer, but even rude customers don't expect the waiter to forget what they ordered so quickly, especially if it's so simple, and then tell em to not screw it up. I'm just being hopeful, but it'd be awesome if that was some sorta message between the two.
Detective x Glasses aside, for the DNA "rough match", I can't recall if they've ever found culprit DNA evidence that they could link to a suspect this early on in the case. I think it's more likely that the "rough match" is his father/brother, whichever I'm guessing the Glasses Guy turns out to be.

I would think that by roug match it could be that blood and rH type matched (and it wasn't the most common of types).

So that new detectiv is Bourbon from the BO? Hm, am a bit disappointed if that´s the case. :/

I thought most people who believe Amuro is Bourbon and scar Akai is Bourbon are assuming Amuro is scar Akai out of mask.MaitreDétective wrote:he might also be "scar Akai
I mean, he's the right height, right body and face shape, right handed, and if you look at the below picture, what we assumed may have been shadow may have been scar Akai's real skin color that was revealed when the tape disrupted the mask/coloring (whatever Amuro used to change his skin color).
The restaurant name is a bit strange. I was wondering if there maybe was a Gundam reference there too. Did some looking but no dice.

+1PhoenixTears wrote: @Commi: I don't think shades guy is actually important. Likely Gosho wants us to think he's connected to the BO (dark sunglasses, keeps to himself, ordering bourbon), but in the end, he's not gonna be plot-related.
The average DC reader (perhaps buyer is more accurate) probably doesn't know much about Gundam (he'll just know what it is), therefore he will probably not see the reference and might believe that the red herring with glasses is Bourbon. Of course, DC otaku like us will do a little research and find the answer quite easily, but DC has always been written for the general audience (especially in the last few years) so you can't expect Evangelion themes or Death Note like twists.
Of course, there's always the possibility that Gosho and his staff have something up their sleeves and therefore I'm blabbing a bunch of non-sense, but we'll see in due time.

I'd love it if in the end it turned out all the Gundam stuff was a red herring to slip up the people who analyze everything about the seriesWakarimashita wrote: Of course, there's always the possibility that Gosho and his staff have something up their sleeves and therefore I'm blabbing a bunch of non-sense, but we'll see in due time.

Average DC reader? Japanese or non-japanese?

Even if you know Amoru or Char, you would also have to know who their voice actors were (and apparently the war between those two ended in 1988). As popular as Gundam may be, I don't think many people know it that precisely.

What I though about the most while reading was the Bourbon drink
Though I guess it wasn't important
And the detective guy is weird according to me

Conclusion: "This area is full of crap" and "It's a nasty place!"

That's what I was trying to say. Whether the fact that the order of bourbon is important or not is beside the point.Akonyl wrote: Not because he ordered Bourbon, but because of how he ordered it. If sunglasses guy is a true detective, unless he is rotten (which he may be), he would not help his client kill someone or cover their crime. Haruka Sanji could just be bad though or maybe even a Yakuza type instead of a real detective hired to figure out if Kamon Hatsune was cheating. Another option is that maybe Sanji thought Banba Raita wanted to get Amuro fired in revenge and was going to help him with that. Next file will have more clues.Commi-Ninja wrote:That's what I was trying to say. Self-mockery is good humor and makes people (in this case, we readers) laugh. We do the same even in the US, for example, in response to "This is Jim, the fat guy," it's not uncommon for Jim to say "Nice to meet you, I'm the fat guy." I guess people don't do this in your country?Conan 48:69 wrote: Why Conan addressing himself as freeloader [...]. Conan claimed himself as freeloader which getting used to be called by Kogoro is kind of similarity to Sera who getting used of being mocking as flat-chested by people around her then eventually she claimed herself flat-chested directly to Camel.
None of that. It's an Italian restaurant thus "Ristorante". As for ShounenSundayrino, well, that's itChekhov MacGuffin wrote: The restaurant name is a bit strange. I was wondering if there maybe was a Gundam reference there too. Did some looking but no dice.
