Maybe a hint, that Naeko could be Bourbon

It would be nice if a connection was established between the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Detectives and the Black Organization; but for Miike to be Bourbon, it would be a bit disappointing. It's not something that Gosho would do.

I think it has to do with the blocked vision by the paint/figurine boxes/golf bags in the cars.  Maybe the housewife's child got hit by a car because the driver couldn't see properly through whatever was blocking his/her view... so now she holds a grudge against any car that has its vision somewhat blocked, thinking it's perilous to driving.

Oh well, just a theory.

Dang! You hit it right on the head there... The spoiler on the street racer's car also blocks line of sight. And the other Ita-Car only had paint over its sunroof and wasn't blocking anything important. Well, that was an easy case.

So basically to call attention to a great deduction again, HopeGrace got it 100% here.

The sunburn mark on the backseat of the housewife's car is evidence that a child seat used to be there. The housewife wants to get rid of the car because the mark reminds her of the child she lost...  It wasn't her own car that she "targeted" though, rather it was Fukuchi's car, which had the stuffed animals blocking the rear window. Writing the "Die!" message on the front windshield probably was intended to be a message to the car in front, which if the rear window wasn't obstructed, would be readable in his rearview mirror.

That's an amazing deduction! Kudos!

But to be quite honest, I think it's a little disappointing. It's too similar to that one case a couple (a ton?!) of volumes ago, with the Ganguro girls. I think this was a rather memorable case, given that we learnt more about Megure's backstory in it. And also because it actually was an interesting case. So is this one, but still... I hope that there's a twist.

XD I knew Yumi wouldn't take the risk of being the only single person left at HQ very well. 'laughs hysterically' Poor Naeko-chan, nothing's going right for her, is it?

As for the culprit, I'm betting it was the young guy. The culprit behind the original crash was a teacher, and the rude way he talks about his parents seems like a red flag to me. Maybe his parents were responsible for hurting a kid, and covered up the accident with money so he got mad at them or something? It's also strange that this incident specifically escalated to someone getting hurt, so most likely one of the other two were involved in the accident as well, probably as the kid's parent who he believes sold out and took money over justice for their child.

The police (Yumi) suspect the company employee and the part-time worker. So usually, the culprit must be the housewife.

Thanks all, but Abs. deserves most of the praise for elaborating on my theory!  :D  *am horrible at providing basis for theories*  :P

Going to tweak a part of my theory though.

Now I think that instead of someone else, the housewife or her husband (maybe the mentioned high school teacher) themselves was the cause of her own child's accident.  She or her husband might have backed up into another car because they couldn't see the rear view properly through all the swimming equipments and her child, who was sitting in the safety seat (as Abs. said) at the back of the car, got most of the brunt of the crash.  Feeling guilty about the accident, she now hates her car.  When she hears that Fukuchi has a daughter and sees the dolls lined up at the back of his car, she is reminded of the accident and wants to, as Conan words it, 'pry open the driver's closed eyes.

I love jumping to conclusions!
