I'm not sure whether I should cry or laugh about that. Today, when I intended to actually put Skype to use on my computer, I found out that I couldn't add a new contact. Luckily, the Skype forums have a solution - you simply need to change a few options in your Internet Explorer, as Skype apparently uses its options! Well, great, but to change the IE options, IE would have to actually, y'know, run...
However, when I try to start IE (which I haven't used for years), I simply get a nice message: "Untreated Win32-Exception in iexplore.exe.". Which makes it quite difficult to change the IE options
Apparently, I need to update Internet Explorer, fix all the problems resulting from that (for example the original reason I ceased using it - it didn't get along with the other programs I were using, once forcing me to reset Windows), then fix the Internet Explorer options and finally fix Skype - all of that in order to add a contact...
Basically, in order to use a Microsoft product, I'd need to fix another Microsoft product, which would in turn crash another Microsoft product which both the other Microsoft products require to run. Great way to make people use your products, Microsoft
