well i think naruto is ok. the only things that make it ok instead of great is 1. the plot: i mean seriously they need a more deeper in deph plot. 2. stop with the sasuke thing: just make him kill his brother stab orochimaru in the back and die in the prosses that would make us all happy. 3. introdues more villages and more shinobi from those villages: i mean oh heay we all want to see the same chariters over and over and the same villages over and over comeon trow us for a loop everynow and then. and last but not least 4. have some freaken episodes without naruto going on the missone: comeon i want to see odd loves going on i dont alway want to see naruto here and naruto there i mean i want to see nejixtenten  and kiba x hinata not just all naruto here and naruto messing up everything -_- it gets boring after a while. well if you agree with me plez reply or tell me i am out

Judging from every single one of your points, you don't read the manga, since all of those have been accomplished (... number 4 only sort of, mostly just Shikamaru's team).

Naruto has a much better story than most people are willing to give it credit for, with that being said, why the hell do people complain about sasuke? If anything, I see him as a welcome change from naruto : V

I don't hate Sasuke (outside of the main characters in general taking away from the often far more fun secondary characters). I hate Naruto NEVER. SHUTTING. THE F. UP. ABOUT. SASUKE. But I honestly only really liked Sasuke when he was acting like a normal human being during season 3 of the first series and laughing like an over the top super villian in season 5 of the first series.

at least so far in what I've seen of Shippuden, Sasuke's appeared for like a few episodes (and even then, half of the time was little more than a cameo) and been talked about in the majority of them.

also, the problem with Naruto is that a lot of shonen series get better or are at least consistently awesome for quite a while and Naruto has never been as great as it was in the first couple of seasons.

anyway I don`t really like Naruto anymore. I do like Naruto from the first chapter of manga until the death of Shikamaru`s teacher (who was that? kinda forgot the name. Asuma?). But the anime version got too much stupid useless filler, makes me lost the interest. and the story of the manga right now is a bit meh to me. I still read it but like once a month (4 chapter in 5 minutes). I hope Naruto ends soon, in next year or two

oh and I hate that newest version of sharingan. it looks so terrible

oh yeah the Kakuzu and Hidan arc (aka the Shikimaru is awesome arc) was surprisingly amazing. And surprisingly simple for a modern day shonen arc too.

It was basically, fight important enemies, good guy sacrifices himself to save students, students want revenge, most important of the three completely outsmarts them by learning from mistakes and what the enemy can do. Kakashi's there because they are fighting enemies that have a ton more experience and are on a level so beyond the team. And even Naruto's inevitable save the day moment was less annoying than it could have been (and less annoying than similar moments in basically any manga/anime ever not called One Piece) since Kakuzu should have been dead twice at that point. Really, if Ino and Choji had done more it would have been as good as the very best parts of the series.

So I was writing a whole long rant about exactly why I hate Naruto (with specific details) but I ended up deleting it because I didn't want to hijack this thread with ugliness.  Instead I'll say this.

I think you don't give people who hate Naruto much credit.  Some of us actually despise it for a reason.  We hate how it's unoriginal and how Kishimoto continually defies all logic.  We hate how all the characters seem to have dead parents and how many of them emo about this way too much.  In fact, there's way too much emo in general.  Naruto emos about boyfriend Sasuke all the time and it's old and dull and he really needs to be slapped.  We have given Naruto a chance and have thrown it down, disgusted, after reading some of the latest slop we were expected to hold our nose and swallow.  It's gone on for too long and the manga should have ended a long time ago.  The story has become stale and unoriginal and any new characters are unexciting and dull because they're all just cookie cutter Naruto clones or random background fodder.  It had a story but it lost it.

As for Sasuke, I know a lot of people hate him because he's favored by the author.  People are probably just butt hurt that everything is sasuke sasuke sasuke and there's not enough of their favorite character.  He's also one of the characters who is allowed to bypass conventional logic in anything he does.  I'll leave with some pictures to explain.
