sounds an awful lot like something that happened to me once in high school after waking up, except I went temporarily blind right before I collapsed (I would just say I blacked out, but I was completely conscious the entire time)

just drank some water and was good as new though :V Though you might wanna follow nom's advice especially if it happens again.

for hours in the sun in mid-summer time...

Sudden altitude shift can do that... if you have low blood pressure, standing up too quickly means that blood temporarily drains out of your eyeballs (or something), which is why everything goes black for a moment. I have slightly low blood pressure on top of being a bit anemic, so it happens to me a lot, especially when I'm somewhere high-altitude like the Rockies or Himalayan foothills I don't normally pass out, though. It has happened once or twice, when I'm tired.

Getting some fruit juice to drink is generally good to recuperate.

I won't speak for aly, because as far as I know her closet could be on top of a mountain, but at least in my case, I don't undergo sudden altitude shifts in my bedroom

Standing up very quickly occasionally counts as a sudden altitude shift for me, or climbing stairs quickly

I can get lightheaded standing up too quickly if I'm sick also, but it generally happens immediately after I stand up and then gets better. In the blindness case I got up, felt fine, walked to the bathroom and then had my vision slowly disappear until I collapsed.

edit: Today's bad story, I have to be out of work tomorrow but I just received something half an hour ago which is due tomorrow, so I guess I'm stayin later. D:

So today because of idiots my age, the entire grade was called to get a talk from the police. Having nothing to do with anything of the type, it was really annoying to lose class time for a lecture. I could've been doing something productive >C

My bad story of today: So apparently, when my phone falls below 15% battery, it throws a bitchy fit and refuses to sound any alarms. As such, I woke up at 10.30am this morning, looked at my watch, did a double-take, and looked out of the window to see my driving instructor pulling up outside. I had no idea I could get from bed to out of the door in four minutes.

I apparently drove really well, though. Even considering that damn tractor decided to drive like an Italian (ie taking bends on the wrong side of the road)

The TV went out so now begins the process of setting up a different TV set and installing an antenna. To top it off I'm not feeling well and it's cold and rainy outside. Now don't get me wrong, we really do need rain here. It's just that feeling icky doesn't mix well with cold and damp.
