I personally like the older look better, now his hair is different, his pupils are smaller, his eyebrows are thinner and his cheeks are bonny, is he not eating well??? hehehe
What do you guys think??

Great question! I hadn't noticed that his look changed.
Personally, I've got to go with the new look. That's the kind, caring, competent yet sometimes bumbling detective that I've grown so fond of. It's hard to imagine Sato-san falling for the old Takagi.

It's not a change of animation, increased stress (read: women troubles) tend to do that to a man.

But she did, didn't she?? She had already demostrated that she had feelings for him back in those episodes
No in the earlier episodes, Takagi had a crush on Inspector Satou but he wasn't sure whether she likes Inspector Shiratori (Episode 146) or Inspector Megure (Episode 157).
Only after Episode 206 (when he risked his life to save Inspector Satou's memento from her father), did Takagi realize that he MAY have a chance with her.
Which is why he started paying more attention to his appearance. (i.e. get a new more-expensive haircut)
Many sleepless nights worrying about how he should go about wooing her resulted in a decreased appetite (thinner appearance) and a more haggard appearance.

I don't know, I do remember in the episode where she gets "engaged" to Shiratori that she agrees to marry him, but if Takagi comes before sunset she wouldn't, I think then she realized how important He was to her as well as the episode where she gave him her Dad's handcuffs and he didn't break them, even though that would have saved him, just because he didn't want to break that memento from her Dad. She was crying like crazy beacuse she thought he was gone. All that was with the old look.
The expensive haicut and the sleepless night came after
"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."
i like the old style better... just because he looks better and handsome to my eyes... i don't wanna sound gay there... haha (i don't have anything against gay people)
on the other hand, i like Satou's new look. She looks sexier and prettier that way.
Personally I like the new one simply because it's more distinctive. I don't like it with that animation scheme though xD. I like how Gosho really fleshed out the characters, and how the hair is more whooshy xD.
Hey, I have an idea, let's have a THIS SUCKS / NO THIS SUCKS / NO YOU / NO YOU argument for a couple pages, that will really be great. - Ingmar
