An interview yes. I suppose I worded this wrong, but aiming to retire (end DC?) in about four years is close to trying to accomplish this task as soon as possible given how long it might take to wrap up DC. But really, Gosho does seem to be doing plot in every chapter these days. Eye for an Eye is part of the romance plot. This case could easily be part of a Ran suspicion arc.

An obvious detail I may have missed ...

This guy's apartment door has a good sized window in it.  IF the window is clear, transparent, and is not diffused for some reason, then someone in the hallway looking in should be able to see right inside, and see that there is a dead body in the kitchen.  Moreover if you were knocking on his door and waiting for him to come, wouldn't you tend to look through the door's window to wait for some sign of him coming to the door.

Thus there is no way all three suspects could not have seen the body from the window of the apartment door unless the murderer was intentionally blocking their view of it (so the murderer was the one in front of the door blocking the view).  Why would the murderer block their view so they would break down the door, rather than just discover the body together? To hide evidence of the locked room murder -- that the key was not actually in front of the body before they broke down the door.  I suppose the murderer set the alarm themselves as well so they could ensure they would be the first person in front of his door.

Still though, this creates more problems for the murderer, making it seem unplanned where they chose to stab the victim.  If the murderer killed the victim in the time before the night previously where they all gathered in front of his door to complain about the television, then its possible the murderer staged that zapping to simply try to falsify the time of death.

Yeah. We'll see what Gosho comes up with in time. Maybe he's not as museless as some of us believe him to be.

It's quite likely that plot is happening right behind our backs too with all his subtle hints.

Before Chekhov Era, a number of us might have likely thought Okiya Subaru was Bourbon and Shuu was Scar Akai.

I agree, for all we know, the Boss' name could've even been completely spelled out for us with little hints and we had no idea!

Before Chekhov, I also thought the same way, but I was later convinced completely of her theory

Yeah. There are lots of things that are completely unexpected. Kind of like the disguises that Vermouth are in, I imagine?

And we never know. Vermouth might already by back in DC. Just in disguise.

Well, according to Chekhov, she(Vermouth) disguises Bourbon as Scar Akai  ;D, so she might be near Conan and others .


Anyway, fun file, but not seeing a Ran suspicious arc, since she's already accepted Conan is just an really smart child back then when he tricked her with the cellphone. Well, since Conan NEVER LEARNS, I guess he might mess it up and make her suspicious.


Well, he IS a teenager and likes to show off....so we have hope (for those that enjoy those chapters which Ran gets suspicious).

And yeah, we don't know if Vermouth is around here at this very moment. 

But if the Shinichi and cell phone pops up, there might be Ran requesting to talk with Shinichi. We never know what Gosho has planned right there.

I'd actually love to see this I can just imagine her demanding the phone to talk with Shinichi when Conan can't deny Shinichi's on the other end. Then as he's trying to convince her not to, she grabs it, yells into the phone (something like "Sh-Shinichi I need to talk to you!") ...and then she'll hear her own voice from Conan's phone.
