"English" Parts in the Dub
If the dub ever gets to this, what do you think they're going to do? Speak in some other foreign language? If so, what language would it be? I'm thinking Spanish, but that would be a bit awkward.

Keep them speaking English. It won't change the lines that much and the FBI stuff is just fine (if they ever get to it).

Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

xD
I'd be laughing if they'd put those parts in Japanese and then - *cracks up*
Anyway, it wouldn't be in the spirit, because when they speak English - uhh...it sucks anyway.
By the way, if the third movie is going to come out, what're they going to do with the German parts? o.o

What I really want to know if people really like to watch the dubbed version of Conan, I would so buy it if it was only the japanese tracks with subs, with all the Bluray thing going on right now they have the chance to start over with the releases I think they should just release the Japanese version with Subs.

Well, it's not as if the dvds don't have Japanese audio + subtitles. I don't know why you would want to buy a product that had less, since removing english audio data isn't enough to fit any more episodes onto a disc.

Re: "English" Parts in the Dub
Well, 170 mb 22 min episode, ussaully only goes to about 300-400 megs when converting it into a dvd, you split the audio from video and you get a 90 meg audio file and a 270 mb video file. Ok so thats 360 mb, so, we can fit 14 episodes on 1 dvd disc. However if we put on the second audio then it would be 360+90 mb per episode, which results in 11 epsiodes per dvd disc. So Ginrei, there would be an advantage to having single audio... OF course, the chances of media companies adapting to a higher compressed format on thier dvd's would be unheard of... So would selling the dvd's any cheaper then $10 for a disc, that they paid $0.20 to make... Of course they only want to put 3-4 epsiodes per disc, that way you will buy more of them...
Thier formats are wasteful of digital space, thier profits hardly go to the artists. Should i ever become a mangaka(who creates anime), i'll be sure to follow the new torrent trend. I'll up anything i make for free, and setup a site for my anime where my fans can choose to donate. Many music artists are now getting into this trend as well as bloggers and even national educational programs are having thier programs uplaoded for free use on bittorrent... Oooops that was a rant.....

That's the thing though, they don't compress to the maximum potential. If they maxed it out, sure maybe. However, they don't so removing one track of audio isn't going to change anything.
I know Bandai is releasing a sub-only release for Gurren Lagann. They're doing 9 episode discs, which is only three episodes more than Funimation is doing with Case Closed. Actually, having now checked animenation, it's two discs for their 9 episodes, so they're only fitting 4 and 5 episodes per disc, despite only one audio track.
More proof that they aren't compressing as much as they could? Dragonball. Not DBZ or DBGT, but the original Dragonball. Each saga would be 16-20 episodes, split among two discs, so an average of 8 episodes per disc. Dual audio.
