Manga vs Anime?

Post by Cattlebruiser »

So I started watching dc a few months ago and i'm at/waiting for 232+ and I was really set on watching every episode in order... From what i've heard and seen, older episodes seem to take quite a few months maybe even a year to get subbed so I was wondering how the manga compares to the anime. Is the manga the same? is stuff cut out? What chapter of the manga is where i'm at in the anime? stuff like that is what I want to know. Also are there any stream/download links to the unsubbed episodes? thanks in advance!

Just my two cents, but the anime only seriously starts the series at episode 129 for me XD

Huh? Well, why that episo-
Oh, Heh I know. Forget it. xD (Good point. Having most of the main characters around does make it more interesting.)

CB;
I don't know what part of the manga you are at because, well. I not really reading it.
I can tell you though that manga is very good, as is the anime.
(Sorry I'm not being of much help... I'm kind of trying to get this topic some attention so that people who do know will reply.)

haha, this is true.

I feel like the first 128 episodes were more about the cases, the mysteries were really good in the first 5 seasons.

I feel like some of the newer episodes today don't have the same pizazz compared to the older cases.

But, yeah, definetely after 129 the plot really starts picking up.

Although I could be wrong, the manga's worse as I'll be amazed if all of the chapters are ever translated properly.  :P

For the manga: it's the root story from which the anime is based. Anime-only episodes have no story in the manga and are never referenced again (generally). However, as these are all fluff/filler, it doesn't really matter. The core storyline is pretty much the same, though the anime makes a couple mistakes and opens at least 1 plot hole that's never actually resolved. These plot holes occur very early on and you've already passed them. The manga explains how Conan finds out the codenames of his attackers, where the anime does not. I would definitely suggest reading the manga. You can find scanlations of it at http://www.manga.dctp.ws (DCTP's manga site) The first about 30 or so are out in English and can be bought at the bookstore, but the later volumes are available in scanlation from the excellent folks of DCTP.

I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.

The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

Basically, even though the voice acting and awesome soundtrack should make the anime better, enough stuff was changed/never in the anime (almost entirely involving volumes 1-9) that the manga is blatantly better at the beginning.

I'm an anime fan more than a manga fan but you should read manga's file more and it's faster if you just watching a normal cases lol. If its BO related plot-related i prefer the anime more action sound effects and stuffs lol. Just my 2 cents

ALSO THE AI SISTER EPISODE IS RUIN LOL. THEY JUST MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THAT IN LIKE 180 IM NOT SURE lol
