Magic Kaito arc in Conan

Actually, that codename "Jackal" from OVA 4 was just a police name they gave him, like "Scorpion" for the sniper in Movie 3 and 1412 for Kaito. In the original manga chapter, they just called him Snake because Conan wasn't in there, but with Conan, they needed him to have a reason to know that Snake was a dangerous guy, and they made it, "Oh, I saw that face on the computer!" They never mentioned the codename "Snake"in the OVA because some of the viewers don't know about MK...

Well, that's my theory... (Sorry if that was confusing... )

Makes sense. I forgot that the police wouldn't know his codename. I think more people need to read MK, though. There are a million tiny references for it, from the Red Comet car racers to Tropical Land... ♥

I dnt think the MK organization is the same as BO cuz the codenames r different....but if they were the same, u would have to read MK to understand the DC plot, making Kaito a big part of the storyline

What I meant was, if Gosho is gonna make Kaito a big part of DC, then that would mean that for the fans to understand Kaito's role and his purpose, he'll have to sell Magic Kaito manga series again / continue the series. Or he could do the whole Magic Kaito story into an anime series.

I don't know. I always compared it with Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and XxxHolic. Those two stories are also intertwined, 'though not that much that if you read only one of them, you can't follow the story anymore.

If Gosho does bring the MK storyline into DC, he'll probably explain it all within DC, because of course Kaito will have to tell Shinichi his story. MK'll be sort of like the Star Wars Expanded Universe- you can go back and check it out if you want background information and other stories, but anything necessary will be in the main storyline.

I think MK would be after DC and it would expand Vermouth's (and maybe Yukiko's) character.

Yet, it would be the perfect angle for Gosho to use if he wanted to easily connect the MK and DC Organizations.

True. But he might just resolve Magic Kaito and Detective Conan separately. And I'd really much rather see the plots have something to do with each other.

And that sort of depends on the fangirls in Japan. We're much too far away to eat him alive if he abandons Toichi.  xD

Not with DCTP around. We are all reminded everyday how much DC is to us. That's why I love DCTP :-x

Kid can be a very valuable aid in taking down the BO-- a master of disguise equal to Yukiko and Vermouth. (They DID have the same master after all..) And the Black Knight robbery can hardly be called an ending anyway.

Too bad DC is popular in Phil but they dont know Ai,Kaito Kid and other stuffs i wish GMA will continue DC here so we will have a bigger fan base.
