DCW is down more and more frequently and for longer spans of time. It means there are a lot of people viewing it, which is good, but...

My bad story: well, what else but the riots. I wanted to go out to the high street to do some stuff, but was advised by family to stay in

Re: Today's Bad Stories !
We're learning how a train works now. Or I'm trying to learn, electrics isn't my strong point. But the fact that our teacher seems almost equally confused isn't helping. And even though I really like him, he isn't exactly the best person at explaining sometimes. Also, he wasn't even supposed to teach us this since he doesn't know much about it, he doesn't like it and therefore he didn't have much time to try to recall all of it.

I am afraid that the riots has reached my local area, not sure yet, just got a call from someone, also I can see helicopter around and every now and then hearing sirens

Re: Today's Bad Stories !
Riots. D:
My bad story: A customer at work was trying to (I think, as they weren't exactly being helpful with information) exchange some chairs they'd just purchased for a green version of the one they bought. Unfortunately, the only other color of those particular chairs is camouflage, which is ~$10 more. This is always the case. However, apparently they wanted the green chair that's very similar that is in our current sales ad. Well, instead of telling me this, they just let me flounder about trying to figure out whatever it is that they want instead of bothering to tell me or answer me when I ask them questions. It ended up with me returning the items and calling a 1-800 number to remove them from our mailing list. I was trying to help, sheesh!
Then, on top of that, another employee decides to start in on me and (not nicely) tell me what I should have done instead. Y'know, I get enough of that crap from customers, I don't need it from coworkers as well. She could have been a whole lot nicer about it. For example, "Well, I know you did it this way, but you really should do it this way next time, okay?" would've been about 100000000000 times better.

I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

Luckily, where I work, coupons are generally very simple: Spend X amount, get X amount off. Not exactly rocket science (though it does still confuse some people). But you're right, at least there were no coupons involved.

Re: Today's Bad Stories !
I found out that my final grade wasn't 6.3 but 6.2!
Darn! That means I have to do my best so I can't end the year with the same grade as my sister! Or if I can, better (though this is unlikely).
And I will have to teach english to my classmates!! I know! You're thinking: but you're talking in here... But I can't talk in public! Not to mention that my english is a bit rusty... all I know I learned it when I was a kid! I don't remember the xplanations, all I know is that it is like that because it is! So, how I'm gonna explain something that I don't remember? ... I really don't know... But, this has it's good side... *sighs*

@kholoud: Stay safe. *more hugs*
@Commi: And then that same coworker proceeded to tell me about the situation and how she thought you could've handled it better and I just wanted to punch her. She's not exactly the best role model for customer service, anyway. She gets grouchy with customers at the drop of a hat.

Yeah, a certain ex-lead wasn't too impressed with her behavior either.

Thank you suutashi and commi
* hugs KL and PT*
Well, the local shops look fine out side my flat, except "The Car Phone warehouse" for mobiles had a shatter on
. Also, I heard that the highstreet which is 10 minutes away by bus/car had a few problems, but it was not as bad as other areas outside London like Manchester
