so loved how Heiji left in the middle of Kazuha's confession but was kinda rude since he so could've asked Conan about it afterwords.

I guess Kazuha is in too much of a devastated shock to question the strangeness of Heiji running off to harass Conan-kun after hearing news about Kudo-kun.

...Yeah, she probably won't think to connect those dots anytime soon.

The confession was amusing, but disappointing. Of course, I knew it wouldn't work out this time around; that would be way too easy. I did like him running to tease Conan though. XD

And can't say I was surprised at how the case turned out, though I didn't think about the daughter aspect.

Wow, I'm impressed by how good the drawings are, since it's usually been said that the drawings in the special volumes are worthless. Looks like the assistants get better as the volume count increases.

There's actually a set of assistants (Masaru Ohta and Kazuhiro Kubota) that do a really great job going on model, but unfortunately they didn't draw this particular volume. This volume was drawn by Yutaka Abe and Denjiro Maru who I think go the most off model of all the assistants. 2nd place would go to Eiichi Yamagishi who I think must've been Gosho's first assistant, since his name was used as Yoko Okino's manager in her debut case. Considering the special volumes he does he works on by himself, I think he does a pretty decent job. Definitely looks like Gosho's earlier DC work though.

I got my Japanese special volumes via Yahoo!Japan Auctions. You're not exactly missing much though. I'm just a crazed collector. :p
