When does the term start btw.? Because I cannot really fly over till late August and I don't want all the good flats to be taken. D:

Freshers week at my Uni starts September 12th, I think most other universities are at the same time. If you look into flats and start arranging one now, you might be able to find one before the students swarm in. After about the beginning of September, everyone starts moving into wherever they're spending this year, be it dorms (in my case), parents' houses or flats.

That said, if you're here working, odds are you'll be able to afford some of the flats that are above the average student living budget. You're arriving at the end of the Fringe, too, and there are a lot of performers and so on who just rent flats for that month, so they'll be leaving and vacating a lot of flats.

Hahaha…No, not really, not for now anyway. So I might even be looking for flat mates and such. Especially since I'd like to get something central, as I'm working in Queen Street. \o/ Don't want to commute too much.

Been there for the Fringe two years ago. Haven't thought about it in terms of flats getting vacated.

Queen Margaret Uni, in the Corstorphine area. I'm living in dorms for the first year, and then whether i'm living in Edinburgh the next year depends on whether or not I can afford it... where are you working?

Translation company, I don't suppose you'd know it. They get a lot of people from Herriot Watt though.

Probably not. I have a friend who might end up working there soon; he's doing a Spanish major and he doesn't seem to have any real plans as for what to do with it
