It's probably not the same thing, but I once had about three pages of a story lost because the program I wrote it on didn't paste things correctly and instead basically died altogether if you pasted things D: I loved what I had written too
Gotta hate when things snowball from annoyance to anger >3> "One of those days" indeed, huh?

I've had work destroyed too, but through my own stupidity. On MORE THAN ONE OCCASION, I've been shutting down a word document, and I don't save before I do because it's my habit to just use the save option box that automatically comes up when you close a document. But sometimes, just as I'm closing it, I remember that I want to add just one more thing and try to go back... and click "no" instead of "cancel" when it asks me if I want to save. I've lost whole chapters this way.
Also, HOLY CRAP I STARTED COUGHING WHILE WATCHING THE NEW MARBLE HORNETS ENTRY O_O
