The destruction of DC. Fanservice is evil.

It depends on what level. Yeah most of what we have today involves panties, nakedness, and sexual gestures but that wasn't the the initial intent of fanservice. It use to be a demonstration of unity between the creators and the fans by providing scenes that were wanted by the community such as cool gestures by the main character or a full body shot of the hero as he makes his entrance. DC has fanservice, just not the kind the world usually gets attached to these days.

Well, I better be the dominant one. It's hard to plan world conquest via insane plans if you have to share a body with three people. And no, I did not miscount, I'm already sharing what I though was my body alone with another person..so that makes a total of four people.

Thankfully, we don't have too much fanservice in DC compared to a lot of other manga out there (just a few panty shots here and there). However there's a lot more of it in the filler material. My tolerance for fanservice is really really low, IMO an author should write what he wants to write and as long as he wants to (unless the sales aren't sufficient, business is business...) without considering the fans' opinions (they cannot all be satisfied simultaneously anyway), the fans are then free to chose whether they like what the author proposes or not.

The above also falls under the category of fanservice and as you can see, Conan's panties were not shown at any time. So DC has plenty of fanservice, just not the sexual kind.

I can tolerate fanservice in that case (even if I tend to mostly dislike it, for example I think movie 14 is crap partly because of the fanservice) since it has absolutely no significance story wise.

Movie 14 is full of fanservice, you have Kaito trying to kiss Ran and the stupid joke on the airship between Conan and Kid among many other things.

OVA7 is not nearly as bad, it has a little bit of AiCon fanservice, but nothing annoying really (unlike the fanservice in the onsen case).

and i haven't seen many KaiRan fans

I haven't watched movie 14, but when I heard about Kaito kissing Ran, I can guess.

I guess their going through a burn out period or that middle-aged woman is a master of disguise in..disguise.

, I meant that much of the story just didn't seem believable in the DC universe along with many of the actions taken by the characters. Gin and the helicopter sums up that movie best. .
