Hey New here, but that doesn't matter ( in fact i just registered for this topic )
Anyways

WARNING!! I hate with Passion You've been warned!

I choose ol' Ran for the following reasons:

First- she is your typical "Girl" Character in most Shounen manga Basically the what people most likely regard as Angelic type.

Second - the "Crush" intrest of the main character. Why, do they always turn out to be sucky (no offense, actually i don't mind if you do) type????? They are Always the sweet, nice, pure, White basically and honestly they SUCK! Though i have to admit, I was ok with her at the begining but then she started to get on my nerves!

Oh let me add the following characterist the go under Ran:

+Naive,
+Damsel in Distress ( yes she's been and She'll be )
+Weak ( mentality wise)
+dependant ( again mentality wise always asking for Shinichi to come back)
+the "Beautiful"-according to the writer/illustrater-( honestly I still don't get why alot of people -side characters + Eisuke+ Tomoaki Araida ( i guess )) Who almost everyone wants a peice from.
+the Perfect girl, who NEVER cheats, NEVER hurts people (emotinally) NEVER betrays, ALWAYS the trustworthy (obviously not enough for shinichi -THANK  GOD) ALWAYS the cheerful, ALWAYS the positive( outward, inside she is as over dramatic as a Drama Queen) ALWAYS finds just the words to say in any situation ( be it for a murderer, or a friend or an enemy)
+the Big hearted - who can fit the WHOLE world in it-
+Fallen HARD in love with the protongiest, yet NEVER admits to his face ( i Know shinichi is the same, but he is a GUY, there is just way~ to much pride in the way) always trying to act as though she isn't yet she FAILS bad!
+ Again the Pure, not Naughty Ughr.. I don't know how to explain this! Ughr... Not Sonoko-ish... ( Not everyone should be , i KNOW just saying since i couldn't phrase it any way better)

= UNREALISTIC

The type of girl who if i ever met someone with the same traits. i'd do one of the two following:

-Turn, and fast walk as far away as possible with a horrified face. Why? Simple: they're the most to fear since they are more liable to be the [shadow=red,left]DEVIL[/shadow] in disguise. ( Well, since Ran is created by Gosho and is ficitional and her role in the story is already crystal clear, she 100% will not turn that way)

-OR: PUNCH the lights out of them and scream "GET REAL!" which is more likely to happen if i met Ran face to face (though the fact wither i manage to land a hit or not is unrelated.. WHAT? She IS a Karate Champion! I get the right to run away from the answer!)


ONE MORE THING: Angel ain't a title i girl/women/female should/could ever hold. After all the image in my head is, Angels are men in white, Devils are Big Busted Women with tight Tube top, and short shorts, or mini skirts and glossy skin + flowing long hair

Honestly in the whole DC seriose the only one worth of being called Angel is Conan ( and yes I mean Conan not SHinichi ) Because as the experience the older teen got from turning into a kid again was the fact that he matured and SAW the dark side of the world,
Unlike RAN who all her life was protected (So what if her parents Divorced? 24% iff not more parents out there divorce ! and some with a HUGE family ( kids of 4 and up, actually I'd 6 and up but i didn't want to overexagerate since i don't know for sure) She never SAW the dark side, and probably never will - Since she is so Loved and Protected (even by Vermoth!)- and the worst she would probably see is the end of the bloody war, and then She's most likely Whine about how she should be "Strong" for those around her. When if it was Conan/Shinichi (Conan/shinishi = Shinichi after/while the whole Conan ordeal) he'd probably not give it enough chance to let it bug him and the worst may be paranoia and Nightmares here and there

And if this where a Supernatural Anime, he'd be an angel for saving all those lost soul from having unsolved/wrong death causes and will probably roam the earth trying to tell people the truth about their deaths and who murdered them

Who agrees? That Conan Deserves the "Angel" more than Ran???
