Yay! i was right with my deduction  :D

Anyhow, i'm suspicious as how James knew Sera was a girl and as to what did Ran want to tell Shinichi...

James knowing is going to be fairly simple, I'd say. It's probably that he either knew it was Akai's sister (due to seeing her when she was younger) or saw the resemblance and recalled that Akai had a sister (given that he's somewhat high up in the personnel, he would know of Akai's background given he was a subordinate). There's unlikely to be much more to it than that (as in, Sera's likely not a deep cover operative for the FBI or CIA or whatnot).

But why wouldn't he say "That's (probably) Shuichi's sister"?

Yea,i agree, but the real mystery is why he would hide it from them? Could i be he know more about the situation than we thought?*thinks to himself* Sera seems to have put the peices together to figure out who Conan is since she seen his knowing look before he supposed to have called Kudo, and said it seems he figured it out. I can't help but think she knows, and knows a little too much if you ask me. That could be dangerous if she draws the orgs attention without knowing what they are capable of doing.

Somedy suggested that he may have been able to tell Sera is a girl because she doesn't have an Adam's apple (you can see her neck closely on the picture), I think that's possible too.

Didn't James already get on Camel's case for bringing up Akai to Jodie? James must know it's hard for everyone else on the team to cope with the "loss" of him, and surely doesn't want to bring it up by noting that Akai's sister is out running about--presumably looking for him.

Yeah, and that's not something Jodie really needs to know right now, anyway.  I imagine that would only cause more trouble.  (Can you imagine:  Sera and Jodie team up to find Akai.  Not so great for the guy pretending to be dead.)

Indeed. For those that don't remember, here's the exchange:
Spoiler: File 677, Page 4

I can't see why this wouldn't be the exact reasons James didn't say anything.

Which James (probably) doesn't know about.
Him being considerate might be an innocent enough explanation. Especially since Sera doesn't seem like she is on a clandestine mission (on the FBI's behalf at least).

I didn't mean to suggest that James knew Akai faked his death.  I just mean it would certainly be an interesting development plot-wise.  I would say it's more likely he's just being considerate of Jodie's feelings for Akai.

Yes, it would be interesting if James had somehow figured that out, but I was referring to Jodie and Sera searching for Akai as to being interesting plot-wise.

I need to write things in a clearer manner.
