That's why I say that she would turn back after BO is destroyed or DURING the battle.
I doubt it would happen beforehand though it might since we're look like we're going into a BO arc

Yeah, that's also why I want to see Shiho again, even if she takes the antidote by accident...

I want Shiho to meet Ran.  I want Ran to speculate on Shinichi and Shiho's hanging together, but I still couldn't see this happening unless she was forced, had no choice, or if the danger of the BO is completely gone.
100% this. I'd really <3 it if Ai became Shiho again, but it'd be majorly OOC for her to do it in any situation unless it's the only way out of it.

There will come a situation when Shiho Miyano must appear even the risk of BO being on the prowl for her.  :-\

I wish I can see her one more time.  :)

well... she could appear to hide her area of operation... like taking the pill, appearing in a broadcast from a street in some city in hokkaido without anyone currently havin contact with her... then the BO would be like.. woa... there she is and would at least for some time keep their eyes on hokkaido... and they would still think she wasn't shrunk

As Vicky had said, it might be overly out of character for Ai to turn back into Miyano Shiho unless its necessary, but if plot eventually calls for it (I imagine after the defeat of the Black Organization), it would be reasonable enough for there to be scientific reasons forcing her to change back.

While we don't truly know the nature of APTX-4869, and the floating time line of DC doesn't truly show us whether Conan and Ai are growing or not. With telomerose involved, it's possible that they've not only shrunk, but have had their growth slowed immensely. That would mean that they would not grow at the same rate as regular children. To avert suspicion, if that were the case, eventually Ai would need to take the antidote. Children grow rather quickly; it would be unnatural for a child to appear as though they were six or seven by the time they were ten. The gap in size between a child and a pre-teen would raise some questions. Furthermore, this is a drug that was originally created to pursue immortality. It would make sense for it to slow aging as much as possible, in spite of being defective and functioning as a poison as a result. Aside from that, thus far, nothing has truly indicated the growth rates of APTX-4869, unless we consider whatever Vermouth has taken to be an Apotoxin derivative. In which case, she's been shown to not have aged over a few years of taking whatever substance she had, assuming that Vermouth is both Sharon Vineyard and Chris Vineyard.

Also, early on in the story, although chances are, her opinion has changed, Ai had noted about her feelings about becoming a child in the movie theater (Where the children were watching Gomera after an Einstein movie.) She mentioned that she could not recognize herself. Ai is not as rash as Shinichi is--that boy would essentially do anything to return to his normal self--but there's a chance that she might still want to return to being her former self based on what she said. But as said before, I imagine her opinion on this has changed.

I doubt that Shiho will return.

Even when the BO's completely gone, if I was her, I would still stay as a child (unless the APTX4869 also stops you from growing). What's the point of turning back to your own self ? Unlike Shinichi; who still has his girlfriend, his family and his future ahead; Shiho has lost everything. But as Haibara, she would have many things that she has never had in her past (a family and lots of friends...). In other words, Shiho didn't have a "childhood", and now is the chance for her to regain it. She can start her life again, a life without stress, sorrow and full of happiness.

Besides, no matter what you think of her, Shiho is still a criminal. She was in charge of a lab that creates deadly poison, and if I'm not mistaken, she even used humans for her experiments. Changing back only sends her to jail :)

*sits back and prepares to write a long paragraph about Haibara returning to her old body*

Wait a second, I'm too tired and lazy to do it. Maybe tomorrow.

Tomorrow:
*procrastinates and forgets to write the paragraph* ;D

So it's easier for her to stay as a child because "she doesn't want to go to jail"I doubt the FBI and Conan will agree with that...Gosho have a strong sense of justice and most of the time people who do illegal things have to be punished... ::)

It would be a waste in Ai's character development if she stays as a child,it's as if she runs away from her past... :-\
It would be better if Shiho faces her responsabilities, and builds up her new life as Shiho Miyano(of course I don't  want her to be sent into jail )
And even as Shiho Miyano she can stay with Agasa and have friends like Shinichi,Ran and Sonoko...(she doesn't need to stay as a child in order to have friends ::))
If Ai stays as a child I really think it would be humiliating, that would show that she chooses the easiest solution, and doesn't have the courage to face her destiny :(

Besides,if Ai meets someone from her old life,I don't think she would stay as a child :-\

Staying as a child doesn't necessarily mean running away from her destiny. When she grows up, she'll still be Shiho Miyano. What I mean is that during her growing process, she can experience things that she never had like any other normal child. Of course she still has Shinichi and Ran... but it'll never be the same. It's just like 10 extra years of life, why not take advantage of it ? I think she also deserve a "childhood" like everyone else. I'm just saying from my point of view, though.

By the way, the "staying away from jail" thing is just a joke  :D Remember that all of the data about her experiments have been destroyed by the organization. Even if the police, FBI... wanna arrest her, they don't have a single evidence. So, as for conclusion, Shiho is "100% innocent"  ;D

Of course it's your point of view and I respect it... :)

But IMO staying as a child is too easy...it's as if she is so desperate that she want to erase her past and being a person totally different,as if Shiho Miyano never has existed... :-\
She said herself that "if people try change the stream of time, they would be punished"(vol19)I think Gosho was serious when he wrote that sentance... :-\

Btw,FBI already knows that Sherry is a high BO member, and Akai probably told about Shiho's activities in the BO...she's not 100% innocent for them...but I guess FBI could make a move and help her not go into jail if she helps them to take down the BO... ;)

She's already tasting an almost normal childhood, she's quite happy now,but growing again would be boring, even for her, because she's not a child anymore, she has to live as an adult...

My opinion on the matter is that most people who are for Shiho staying Haibara mistakenly assume that she was in effect kept in solitary confinement her whole childhood: "Oh poor Shiho she was abused her whole life and got her innocence taken away from her D: D: D:"

Most likely, though, Shiho's comments about how she "didn't have a normal childhood" refer to her being sent to gifted & talented programs in America, being seen as "different" there (thus less able to make friends), and concentrating on studies vs. Akemi who went to school in Japan (with people who looked like her) and didn't have as high expectations placed on her.

I don't think it was the pressure alone - which was probably pretty intense. She grew up separated from her parents and I doubt whoever was in charge of taking care of her was an appropriate replacement - especially if it was Gin.
Being under constant surveillance must have given her a sense of confinement, so that she constantly felt like a prisoner.

I know Shiho Miyano is wanted by the organization.  :)

She must remain in her child form as Ai Haibara.  :)

There will come a time when a situation arises that she might choose give up her safety, if just a brief moment.  :|
