Also, I agree that Sera officially figuring out that Conan=Shinichi isn't that exciting, nor is Sera is Akai's sister as exciting.  Since Gosho's pretty much already said these two points, I think the reveal will be something beyond that.

The current theory on the Japanese interwebz is that Gosho only even came close to "admitting" it (he really didn't concede it was anything but possible) because so many people have caught on (and did very, very early on). The naming convention is tooooooo obvious now, so I won't be surprised if he doesn't fall back on it for the next character.

After discussing the current state of affairs with a few peeps last night (including Abs-chankunshi ), my guesstimation and I guess that of a few others is that (as an amalgamation of the more convincing theories out there):

Sera is Akai's sister without any doubt. Sera is a female, and anything else is kinda creepy at this point. Sera's family was informed by the FBI of her brother's death. Sera did not believe it for whatever reason (likely due to the sketchiness of the evidence) and may have known about her brother doing undercover work in the past. As a result, she deduced that he may be alive after all and that this is all part of an operation. She then decided to come to Japan to figure out exactly what was what.

If most of that doesn't come true, I will be one surprised panda.

That is, in fact, exactly what I've been thinking as well, Jd-. Sera's too sharp to miss the fact that the evidence surrounding Akai's death made it so it could easily have been faked, so she's trying to find the truth.

As for Sera being female: people need to stop arguing against this. I don't care how much she may looks like a boy. Sera is a girl. End of story.

I'm not certain that Sera mentioning her mother is actually too big a deal.  I doubt her mother is actually Vermouth, but it could be that she is dropping hints to Conan about Vermouth, like some sort of suggestion that she knows about the Organization.  Camel recognizing her face certainly suggests that she may be Akai's sister, though.

But I thought she mentioned her mom's breasts to Ran and Sonoko when Conan wasn't around.

Hm, I'm also thinking that Sera's constant mention of her chest and her mom in almost every case that she's been in, minus the first one, is a red herring, but if it ends up as a plot point, I'll find it extremely hilarious.

And the whole toilet seat thing, I'm guessing is one of the clues that will lead to solution. Since Camel didn't see him until after he was dead, dude probably was talking to himself for some reason, if the toilet seat being down was intentional. And the Abe-chan = ame-chan is also what I'm going with, since they're pretty familiar and Camel probably isn't used to Kansai-ben, which is also why Heiji probably deduced it was murder.

But since that was all said already, I'm really hopeful of this chapter, even though it looks like if anything it'll just prelude into something bigger, maybe. And since Heiji hasn't stated his reason for coming yet, I'm guessing he'll be around the next case too, just like the other time with the Detective Boys in the warehouse and the charm case. And all these suspicious points about Sera are quite interesting. And GinRei's ending scene sounds great

this i like really much... and i don't care if something is predictable as long as the outcome however foreseeable is awesome...
and for you guys saying it is a repitition of the eisuke arc... i don't think so... well there are parallels but there are quite the differences too... eg lost sisters against dead brother (quite a big one if you ask me)

btw... it's kinda funny how the FBIs can speak that good a japanes but don't recognise at least kansaiben is a common accent ... imean kansai has like what 24mio inhabitants, almost a fifth of the whole japanese population, so at least something you should've heard of once

No, the whole "Sera's gonna find out Conan=Kudo OMG" thing is tired now. I'm bored with it, at least. Hooray, Sera figures out Conan's identity. Now what?

I pretty much think the same thing. However, after the 'Now what?' I'm (knowing how crazy it is) hoping that with Sera's rashness something like this will happen:
*with some main people (Ran, Conan, Kogoro, maybe Heiji or someone else that knows the secret)*
Sera: Oh, hey, Ran-chan?
Ran: What is it?
Sera: Can you explain to me why Kudou-kun is pretending to be a child?
*BONUS POINTS IF CONAN HAS A DRINK*

Unless something like this happens, it'll just be the same hush-hush keep it a secret for safety thing. With the above though, the idea will just be bluntly stated Ran...and for the first time, someone else will have the same idea as her, likely leading to her finding out. ...And Kogoro too.

Though even if it did happen, there'd be some excuse that'd come up. ...I guess we just hope Gosho finds a way to make things pick up.
