Today was spring-cleaning day (mainly because a potential buyer for the house pays a visit tomorrow), and after 6 hours of consecutive cleaning, we were all a little tense. It did not help that my brother decided to procrastinate a fair share of his work and that my mother almost always manages to work herself up into a rage once she gets angry (a night of sleep always cools her down). So, my mother got angry with my brother for slacking off, getting more and more angry over time. However, my brother, being completely aware of what was about to happen, told her to cool down, and when she didn't, yelled at her to finally cool down (which, at first, left her too shocked to say anything) . This was the point were I considered locking my door to be a good idea, though after a moment of thought, I realized that it might be better to interfere in order to make sure things did not get worse, both emotionally and economically (my mother tends to forget about the value of throwable things while angry), and actually managed to get them apart by simply ordering my brother to get back to work and my mother to take a seat and cool down (perhaps me being too much in a hurry to remember putting on a T-shirt helped). Well, she didn't, which let to the afore-mentioned situation - I can tell you, it's pretty creepy this way
Well, I managed to avert a worse end, and by now everyone has cooled down, so it's all alright. Still, I don't want to imagine what might had happened if I had chosen not to step in...![]()

@ranger: Different people see different things with their migraines. I've heard of people saying they completely black out, others say there's flickering, and other say they see zigzag distortions. That's why when people come in and tell me they temporarily saw something weird, one of the differential diagnoses is that they were having a migraine. Of course, you rule everything else out first![]()
