i believe she live in a hotel ( the one where a guy is thrown using wheelchair ) when she just came to japan and then searching a new place to rent.

and now she is living in an apartment that she rent.

She reserved a room at the Haido Hotel (the wheelchair case she appeared in) but she wasn't able to actually get a room there.

The room she is in appears to be furnished the way a hotel room would be furnished, for example the bedside lamps being affixed to the wall.

Also, it almost appears as if there were supposed to be letters of a hotel name at the top of the building there...

No Sera has to watch her money if she is coming into Japan with USD. Japanese tourists go to the US to buy tons of stuff. US tourists do not go to Japan to buy tons of stuff.

To clarify: the USD is at its lowest conversion rate to the Yen in at least the last three years.  It's now 1 USD to 80.86 Yen.  It was at about 1 USD to 100 Yen three years ago (fluctuating by about 5 yen either way depending on where you got it converted).  She'd be lucky if she's not dropping $100 a day to stay there.

btw.. don't know the prices... but i watched a series in which one of the main char's was staying at a hotel(in seattle, maybe a small suite) and paid like a grand or so per week + a hundred as tips for roomservice but she was from quite a rich family from the south

i had the same understanding problem with xpon as ginrei... was kinda like... wtf

don't... i was just saying that i was irritated, iwasn't trying to blame you... but it's not like i was trying to solve my misunderstanding either... if it wasn't for ginrei i would've died stupid, while i just could've asked you what you really ment...

this reminds me of the question jodie asked heiji in their confrontation... this discrepancy shouldn't happen if a plain logical structure was behind the language structure but languages aren't logical(at least in many ways) and therefore misunderstandings happen, especially while not using your native one
