"Just a normal student" can be a shocking plot twist, but in Gosho's world, this would never happen. Actually, in anime/manga, most of the transfer students are never just "normal students"

Yeah, I can see a pattern here.

On the other hand, that one boy from the DBs class that arrived after Haibara and participated in the "Kobayashi MIssing" "case" did turn out to be a normal student. Or maybe he is just good in pretending.

Huh?  What do you mean no heart symbol?  It's clearly there.  The symbol you see on the manga page is from the Japanese version, I merely moved it to align better with the english words.

I was referring to recurring or major characters. One shot characters (especially in DC) don't fit into this trope and most of the time, they aren't important at all.

The usage of heart symbols in dialogue (in manga, particularly) doesn't necessarily refer to actual "love". It's more used to showcase happiness/affection, but not necessarily in a romantic way.

This case has made me giddy with joy about an ensuing plotline, for once. Plus Ayumi's sensual fascination with Haibara is amusing.

My prediction is that Serra is Bourbon, because Gosho really makes a big deal out of her absent breasts, and her noteworthy knowledge of detective stories and sleuth attributes. Also, she already knows way too much about Conan, and is digging heavily for more. A bit too suspicious for my tastes.
Okiya Subaru will present himself to be Akai. The vase is peculiar, but it's probably simply a creative way to announce where Haibara has been hiding.

Question - since when did Conan become the aim of Bourbon? And how Sera's "absent breasts" are a clue for being Bourbon?

You're hoping for too much here. This case might lead to something or have some more clues, but I find it hard to believe that Gosho will really let Haibara be found with a vase. It's just too weird (not to mention, a terrible way) to let the B.O. find out about Sherry.
