Don't think that is the case, because that is ALL they took. It didn't seem that it was a robbery attempt. Also the vase on the carpet was perfectly standing. Not to mention that they knew the vase was there, but not the carpet. I'll go with Conan's deduction on that one...

I dont think its the BO as well, but there might be hidden facts at the end on the case about the BO, i.e about Okiya's or Sera's nature

They can pretend to be appraisers, saying the vase is not expensive and pay for them with low price (or at least try this method first), no need to went through trouble of kidnapping Ayumi. I don't think they aim for the vase.

They are aiming for the vase.... wait a moment... all along they aiming for the vase all along. There's something INSIDE the vase!!! Why the vase stand instead of lie down? Maybe they are not Black Org, they're robbers they will do anything to steal anything and they choose carpet, whisk off Ayumi.

That is what I said... They wanted what was in the vase, or rather what they thought was in the vase. Which was not there, assuming that they guy they had knocked out would have information they kidnapped the kid inside the carpet to have leverage.

If they thought the Prof. knew something, they would have kidnapped him instead.  The Vase and Rug are definitely connected.

The kidnapping is what's throwing me off. Whether its the B.O. looking for Sherry or some random Bandit Gang looking for their lost loot, knocking out Agasa and kidnapping a kid makes no sense. They didnt even attempt to be appraisers, it seems to be just a smash and grab. Obviously we are missing some important clues.

Maybe Bandits don't be bother to be appraisers. It's time consuming to move the vase and the carpet, and Ayumi is there to see bandit's face but Agasa haven't. (hmmm) They've been delayed,  leave the vase and hopefully to think they will make police report so they will find opportunity to ask police and kids bring along the thing inside vase. bringing kid, vase and carpet will take up time, it become the next problem of them being caught.

1) they tazered him when they came in the door. Agasa is not exactly light, when you are out cold, you are dead weight. You try to move a 250+ pound man without anyone questioning... Ayumi they could wrap up and conceal...

2) Why take the person when you can threaten them to do your work for you. Police have to tread lightly, and likely they would have to do the same thing anyway, get the kidnappers what they want or try to.

Now I'm getting the feeling the end of case will lead to the scene of Okiya's presence. Something big gonna happen in the next case will lead Conan in big trouble...

Nah, it's going to go the classic Vermouth Arc route.  Set it up to seem like the Black Org, but it's not.  Then, end the case with either the Black Org Member or the suspected Black Org Member (Vermouth/Jodie in that arc, Bourbon/Okiya/Sera/Scar Akai in this arc) doing something suspiciously evil or not evil, depending on their intentions.  Nothing will then happen for a month or two, and then either more happens or it hits the fan.

If I recall that was an abandoned building other than the DBoys. This was in his neighborhood, with an unknown number of people. Hard to move him without people noticing...
