Guys... what's all this about Sera being Akai's sister? Who ever said she was HIS sister? I have an idea:

Sera is Eisuke's sister, aka Kir. If Okiya = Akai, he would need to stay hidden from her in case the other BO members were nearby or monitoring her, even though he knows she's safe. However, Kir can't appear as her usual self in front of everyone because she was a famous reporter; if she did, she'd be immediately recognized. This would also explain how she seemed to know Conan before Sera's intro.

Also, regarding the car, it's quite possible that the BO could have used a rental car (or a stolen one, etc) to avoid Haibara noticing that it was them immediately. Gin's Porsche would be too obvious, and so far we haven't seen any actual other cars, just motorcycles, which are impractical for kidnappings, obviously. Of course, who knows, it could have been her parents for all we know... actually come to think of it... didn't that car look a bit like the one James and Jodie have been using...? I'd need to go back and check...

Diverting from the whole Sera identity crisis (FBI? BO? Relative? Male? Female?) I was just bothered that if the kidnappers really were after Ai, even if Ayumi was wearing Ai's clothes, the two don't look alike. The BO would not have moved so carelessly/done a tacky job.

And why weren't the kidnappers' faces blackened? This is so the readers would be confused if they were BO or not. My guess is not but at the end of this arc, the true identities of Okiya and Sera will be revealed.

Even beyond all of the subtle clues that are lining up in this theory's favor, there's the obvious one: Akai Shuuichi's name is an illusion to Char from Gundam (due to a moniker he used), along with the given name of Char's voice actor Ikeda Shuuichi (who, incidentally, also voices Akai himself). Within days of her being introduced, Hadaa noticed that Sera Masumi was an allusion to "Sayla Mass"--the name of Char's sister in Gundam (who also sets out looking for him after he goes missing, I believe--unsure on this part, never watched it).

There may be some parallels between what will happen with Sera and what happened with Char's sister if you guys want to research & hypothesize over that a little.

The vase still there, Why?

Did they steal the vase and leave a fake one. In panic Conan and Co won't notice (or don't have the skill to notice in the first place since Agasa has to put it in the internet to ask)

Or Agasa's is a fake one but they think it's real and come to found out it is not. Then they try to use Ayumi to bargain for the real one that they think Agasa hide somewhere? Why don't they take Agasa away himself then. They think Ayumi is Agasa's child and can use her to threaten him.

By saw Ai in Agasa eye they probably think Ayumis is Ai and think they got the right person.

If the kidnapper took away the rug, why the vase is still standing. Since the vase was on the rug, it should be lay down on the floor when they try to take the rug. Would they bother put it in proper position in such situation ?

Also, even though Ayumi is wearing Ai's clothes, they still have different face, not to mention they was stalking Ai when she wearing different clothes and is going out. How could they mistake Ayumi for Ai?

It's likely the kidnapper can't be sure is the girl Ai or Ayumi. If it's about video, Agasa's glasses has the reflection and kidnapper know it's a girl filming as it is likely they saw it from far, recognizing Ai's clothes. They haven't see the girl's face before, but clothes only, plan to kidnap a girl and proceed to target.

The most confusing part is the motive. There might be a chance to mistake Ayumi for Haibara IMO. Plus, the fact about Hakase bought the vase and the carpet from a second-hand market at the same time bugs me.

Random: Sera's boots are odd. It would be better if they just reached her knees.

It's likely they plan not to ask for ransom, I think they want Ayumi to do something for them and keep her as their prisoner. Could it be carpet worth more than the vase?
