AbEgho: *makes a joke about killing/eating disappearing animals*
KL: *references her cat that disappeared and never saw it again*
AbEgho: *jokes about having killed/eaten her cat and continues to do so*

Generally, unless you know for a fact the person is taking it as a joke (which I don't see much of a reason to believe KL is), joking about that and then continuing on that line is sorta a jerk move.

A couple of telltale clues: the mere fact that Kaito Lady is answering using onionhead *stuff* in her conversation, completely deprives the dialogue of any kind of seriousness or sincere solemn thoughts; the fact that Kaito Lady is continuing to answer back playfully, or even keep the conversation going, is a right giveway.

and if she is annoyed, it isn't somehow her fault that you keep replying. She's not even saying things that beget replies, you're just taking the fact that she has replied at all to keep going on.

That's exactly what I was telling you. Do not make fun of others' misfortune. There is a reason for the first line of my signature, and also a reason that some smilies are NOT listed there. Especially is a truly serious smile, and if it comes along with CAPITAL ONLY WRITING and a lot of exclamation marks, but none of the other smilies, that person is definitely serious. I.e., Kaito Lady is seriously angry at you now, and I can completely understand her. If you had done the same with me the way you did it, you'd have gotten a deadly serious PM, and if you had ignored it, I had informed an admin. I won't repeat myself here, but I basically said why already in my last post - this thread is no place for fooling around. Never.
BTW, I fail to notice her holier-than-thou attitude in any of h. posts, so would you please exlain what you mean exactly? Thanks.

Haven't gotten much sleep lately but today was the day. I planned on sleeping forever but nooo of course I couldn't. I woke up at 6 am with such pains in the stomach area I just wanted to cry. It's a little better now after some painkillers, but the pain is slowly returning despite the fact it is many hours until I can take new ones.

I still could hurt, you know. I had a cat which was about one year old and was hit by car or something when I was 10-12 or something *not completely sure* It still hurts to think about it, he was so cute

All right! Your message has been thoroughly conveyed; I simply couldn't keep a serious attitude in the conversation, seeing all those smileys building up as the discussion grew longer. So, in the realisation that I have caused you much dejection in the past days, I solemnly give my unqualified acceptance to you, Kaito Lady, agreeing that I am willing to undertake any retribution you cast. Though I have no chance in describing how much this acknowledgement is drenched with remorse, I hereby wear my heart on my sleeve and tell you that this ordeal with you has made me want to be a better member.

I were well aware that that line was directed to me, I only didn't realize it was also about me. Also, I didn't mean to appear, to use your words, holier than thou, but instead meant to appear serious (seems I were successful with that ), clear and somewhat official, in a sense of forum-veteran-advises-newbie-official

*It was not necessarily relayed in such a sense, however. One would also perceive it quite differently; I only used "holier-than-thou" euphemistically (yes, me being overly nice), as opposed to much keener and harsher words as: hypocritical, condescending, disdainful, haughty, and suchlike qualifiers.
So your veteran-like advising might not have been as guiding as you might have been alluded to.
But that's just one spectacle used to look at it...
