Movie 4's ending was horrible Discussion Thread

Hey guys we have a great movie with a good plot, interesting stuff that makes this movie worthy, the return to Tropical Land, using a manga scene that we never got to use in the anime and an amnesia plot that actually works. Everything worked together perfectly. It's exciting, interesting and fun. SO HOW ABOUT WE RUIN IT WITH A FANFIC ENDING! :DDD

You're definitely right about it. The kicking of the can and the karate was really lame, even if some of the chase stuff was good.

I also wasn't too impressed with the 'revelation' of the mystery, but the rest of it was so good I can let it pass.

A can vs a gun! Oh come on! But it's one of my favorite DC movies... The chase was so freaking awesome but the finish touch sucks!

Well all the DC movies take steep nose dives but yeah I actually -loved- Movie 4.  This and Movie 6 is my top for "most butchered".

All I got in the end M4 is that Tropicland is one kick ass amusement park.  That and kicking soda cans get a +10 at water fountains.

speaking of which, I would like to see a pic of Ran losing her mind after Satou was shot. That was...kinda creepy.

The ending was pretty dumb, he sees a can fly up into the air, so instead of immediately shooting conan and ran he actually looks at the can THE ENTIRE TIME IT'S UP IN THE AIR then waits for conan to kick it, THEN tries to shoot

The ending was pretty dumb, he sees a can fly up into the air, so instead of immediately shooting conan and ran he actually looks at the can THE ENTIRE TIME IT'S UP IN THE AIR then waits for conan to kick it, THEN tries to shoot

The fact that he was a "brilliant" surgeon/doctor and did not immediately see that the can was a distraction (like 90% of the viewers) is what bothers me.  All he had to do was shoot into the middle of the water flow or just do as he said(wait it out) knowing that ANYTHING short of them running out before the water stops would just be a distraction.

But a dead Conan would be a worse ending..so... .

Also found the whole Ran "Sato is shot" scene where she rubs the blood on her face over the top. The could of made it more believable by Ran doing a self hug or her touching her face in a *gasping moment* and then grabbing her hair. People just don't grab onto their faces and pull down in dramatic scenes...unless in a J-Drama.

Movie 4 is actually my favorite, who cares if the end wasn't so great, the plot was great and seriously - would it help (Ran's condition) if either Ran or Conan would've been shot?
I guess even if the culprit would shoot it wouldn't hit anybody and so far it's better to at least try to make it more action...

But it's true, nobody even tries to dodge the things Conan kicks 
although I would propably also only stare at first when a child kicks something with so much power...and then it would be to late *lol*

Kaitou and Heiji are the greatest exceptions to anything Conan.. IMO.
