You know, I quite could imagine this kind of situation too.
Miku: Don't use my bathroom, cause I will use it soon.
Tamami: What? But, but...
Miku : Get out from my sight! I'm busy!
Tamami: and thinking: What the hell, I can use the bathroom anyway!
Goes to bathroom and sees a bathtub with hot water and a knife. O_O Tamami's so nervous that she puts wrong slippers and than she goes away with scared face.
Hmm... Quite probable. But I dunno why Tamami hasn't done anything with it, why she didn't talk to Miku or something...? Weird, very weird...

Now I'm back with my Yuchi theory. Let's suppose that Yuchi wrote Miku's book (or they wrote it together, but Miku made herself the only author). Or let's suppose that she and Miku had kind of pact, but Miku broke the rules.
1. Yuchi came to Miku before Nihei, she wanted to persuade Miku that her behaviour was unfair etc. Miku laughed (evil laugh here) and told her to go away. Yuchi went to onsen. There she made a plan of murder.
2. Nihei came to Miku, then Yuchi came again with book. She wanted an authograph, she pretended that nothing happened and that she wasn't mad at Miku.
I thought that Yuchi maybe has some health problems, that's why she goes to onsen that often. Probably she had with her some drugs for her disease. She gave these drugs to Miku. Then she went away and waited till the drug started to work. (maybe she stayed in bathroom)
3. Tamami came, she wanted to use Miku's bathroom, but Miku was mean and she didn't allow her. Miku gave an authograph, but the drug started to work, she had some hand contraction, so she couldn't let the book go, when Tamami was holding it.
4. Tamami looked to bathroom and saw Yuchi, she thought that they were a couple and she got scared. XD That's why she didn't talk about it.
5. The drug was more and more effective, Yuchi went back from bathroom, Miku saw her and wrote "She's still here". Then Miku collapsed. Yuchi slit her wrists, but when drug stopped to work, Miku tried to get out. Then Yuchi put her sleep again and placed near the bathtub.

Dunno, if it's that possible...

It's true, we have no one other than Mitsui herself to guarantee that Miku actually ever said that.

Anyway the popular theory between me and the crew is that ol' Miku actually did do herself in, Isao knows this deep down, Shinichi knows Isao knows this deep down, and that's why Shinichi doesn't think it's a big deal to tell Isao who the rat is.

Also, Shinichi's gonna have to show up after this is all over because he's right there at Agasa's, his girl just almost got blown up, and Ran still needs to give him her reply.

Also, Sera gets totally pwned this case because of 1) Getting the culprit wrong, and 2) Almost causing the dude to die when it totally could have been avoided had she caught on to the fact that Isao knew deep down his sister really did commit suicide, etc. etc.

For your first one, you should've inserted something about Tamami seeing Miku faint maybe before peeking into the bathroom. ^^;

And wow...  O.o That's an interesting speculation of joint authorship has gone wrong.  I had to chuckle at the last part of it.  Tamami seeing Shinobu in Miku's bathtub. Oooooookiiieee....  O___o  That would be very unexpected.  Can't really blame Tamami for seeing something like that...  X__X

You're really good at having Tamami act in a lot of funny scenarios involving her stomach problems. :D   (Even though, we shouldn't actually be laughing too much about it in the face of a murder.)

Right. Tamami is the only one who said it, since she's the sole witness to her own event. I was only playfully stretching it. ;)

As for the popular agreeable theory, I think you guys are on a similar track with me if it does go that way. And if it does go that way, can't wait to see Sera's face further more than in our fan theory scripts. :)

On a side un-related related note, this was a recent hotel crime in Japan. Except, the detectives were able to determine it wasn't a suicide. o_o

Since we won't get new file any soon, I'm a bit bored. :/ That's why I've too much ideas about this case. Though, I've a feeling that if it's really a murder, the motive must be about authorship. Three of women are amatour novelists, I bet they were a bit jealous that only Miku published her book. Miku was pretty mean, so I suppose she could deceive one of them, to become popular. But I guess, the best option would be if she really killed herself. This way Isao would be depressed, but he wouldn't kill anybody.

Well I personally think that Conan would reason that Rat is not a killer as:
- Another guest seen her running from Miku's room.
according to Isao theory somebody stayed in his sister's room and waited till he broke the window.
that means that killer didn't leave the room through a door,
which leads to a conclusion that criminal did not have a necessity to run from room
so the Rat cannot be killer.

This gives us 3 options:
1) Somebody else is the killer
2) It was suicide
3) It was an accident

Though unlike a certain cocky detective, she doesn't get the luxury of a computer, servants to run around and do her bidding, and the comfort of not having a gun and bomb less than a few yards from her.

Honestly, I don't blame her for trying to take the guaranteed safe way out of the situation.  Guy's got a gun and bomb ready to go.  Seven lives are on the line, including his.  If you can take out the aggressor and save the innocents, that's a win, even if it isn't the optimal win.

I didn't say I liked that Sera was gonna get pwned, but it's more a fact: This is DC. Nobody (besides Yuusaku) can get the better of Conan/Shinichi for long ::)

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. She was doing something rational and although it's not the 'perfect' way, it was at least a good way. Though, in DC standards, I can see why others would see her thoughts as 'horrible' and 'non-righteous' etc: there's too many high standards. Sera's decision actually just makes me like her more xD

Speaking of Heiji, I really hope he and Sera meet somewhere down the line. I'd like to see what would happen :P In addition to thinking in the future...will the 'You're my type' comment ever be explained or was that only to be part of the 'boy' ruse? :/

You made a good point theory theory. I didn't once think of authorsip jealousy as a possible motive until you brought it up with your funny script. ^__^

We just now have to wait and see....  Suicide or murder... Apparently, both ways are still possible.

In terms of accidents, now this just calls up a new inspiration for another crack theory script. :D :D

Soooo.

Since the explanation of the crime wouldn't really take a whole file (or at least shouldn't), I'm definitely leaning towards the rat not being the murderer. ...Though, even then I don't think the explanations will take the whole file. This sort of feels like the Hound of Baskerville case where it was one smaller case followed by a big one. There may not be an actual murder after this, but I think there'll at least be a suspicion period (whether it be Ran, Sera, the DB or all of them, I don't know)

On the thought of suspicion, Sera almost seems like the type that would just outright call Conan out in front of someone (say...Ran or the DB). That scenario would be awesome to see, IMO

Anyway, hope Friday's spoilers will get here faster D:

Except she already got the first case right, she just kept the full explanation to herself to force Conan's hand. So, she's basically Heiji's level so far (who has gotten things wrong before). One thing is certain, she's certainly ahead of Ran and Haibara.

I'm subscribing to Mr. Hadaa's reasoning on this case, just saying. And that reasoning is that it was...
Spoiler:
A suicide.
He actually proposed it like two files ago like the genius he is, but I honestly didn't expect it then. Now, it's about the only resolution I can buy.

I meant that on more of an allowed sense referring to xpon's post. Plus the first was more not in the other's character's view. Getting two things right in a row = gfto heiji I guess. And was what's certain needed the be mentioned?
