I really wonder how Conan aka Shinichi wants to stop the murder to happen. I mean, what if that guy just say *is that so?* and the next moment just shoot the Rat person to death not bothering to listen to the high school detectiv anymore?

Shinichi's deductions are just so mesmerizing, he knows the guy won't be able to fire while he's still deducing.

On another note... leaving on this note and then having a break?! D:!

honestly, if ran is right about shinichi... then he is really naive... to not take out a psychopath with bombs strapped to himself.... i mean that does not work... especially when there is a possibility that many people will die.

Is anyone else worried about where he got his suicide vest from? I mean, he doesn't seem  like a crafty guy, which would mean that if he procured his explosives from home, there is the risk that the bombs are overly sensitive. He possibly could have bought them, however one wonders where an average guy with a vendetta acquires explosives... In Japan.

Then again, after typing this, I just realized that Sera & Ran karate-knocked him on his buttocks and they didn't go off so this means, I'm just rambling?

You know, now I think that Miku's suicide would be the best option. I mean, actually I don't see anything odd in these women's behaviour, except Tamami's (her shocked face). Still I don't think that she's murderer, that would be way too easy, and basing only on that she was the last guest in Miku's room and her fear after meeting, it's not too much evidence.
Tamami couldn't be the murderer, cause if she was so nervious, she would make a lot of mistakes like forgot to wash some blood on her, her fingerprints etc. I think somebody would notice it during investigation.
Plus, there's still something about Miku who didn't allow Tamami to use her bathroom. Maybe Miku was just mean, maybe she couldn't allow her to come, cause somebody was there (still a possibility). But who? Without slippers theory, I have a feeling that nobody was there.

Now when I'm thinking of it... Yuchi is a fox, Miku wrote "The fox made another excuse to come again", so it means Yuchi was in Miku's room at least twice. Why she didn't get authograph when she came earlier? Maybe actually Yuchi is the author of Miku's book, maybe they had some pact about it, but then Miku deceived her, so she complained about it. Then she had an idea to kill Miku, so she came, gave her some drugs - while leaving she was so nervous that she mistook slippers. The best evidence of this theory: Yuchi's book is like brand new, because she's NEVER read it, cause she WROTE it.

Now that 773 is out, we now know somewhat of the truth.

(Darn it, I mixed up the animal nicknames. I had their order right to begin with in the first speculated theory version. Aggh...)

Guess, we'll have to toss the suicide theory out the window.   And the rat being the murderer is just.......too simple. Hopefully, this means the rat ISN'T the murderer. =.=  You're right that Tamami's actions look too nervous just to make her, being the rat, look like it's "obvious" that she has done something wrong. *crosses fingers*

You still have a chance with your theory of the rat not being the murderer. ^____^

Sera: "Ho. Now, here's the moment of truth. Right after pointing out that she's the Rat, he will now explain how she's killed Miku-san. This will definitely buy us some time.*
*Sera smirks*
Conan through phone: "It can be none other than YOU!! BUT, she is not the murderer."
*Sera's smirking shrinks*
*Sera stops smriking*
Sera: *What are you doing!? Now, he's really going to....!!*
Sawaguri: "Stop messing with me!! I thought you were agreeing with me that it was the Rat!!"
Conan: "I said that she was the Rat. That is all. She witnessed your sister passing out. Even though Nihei-san had a small issue with your sister for being untidy, she wouldn't go to far lengths as to thinking of murdering her. Yuchi-san couldn't be the murderer, because she clearly said that she'll be back. Mitsui-san appears to also have a small grudge with your sister for her personality, but, it would seem too easy for her to be the murderer as she's very close to Miku-san's room. Not to mention, she was the last person out of the room. The truth is none of them are the murderers!!"
Sawaguri: "What!? Noo... This can't be! You have failed me, Detective!"

KA-BOOM

Back in Prof. Agasa's house.

Ai: "Great job, Mr. Detective. You got your girlfriend and everyone else killed."
*Conan drops the phone in shock*:  "No---nooooo!!"
*Suddenly, Sera's voice is heard on the line*
Sera: "He-hello? Anyone there? Shinichi-san, I presume?"
*Conan suddenly picks up the phone*
Conan: "You're alive!?"
Sera: "Yep. You see, the police threw some sleeping gas grenades into the detective agency and I managed to cover my mouth with a cloth. Everyone's doing fine." ^____^  
Conan: "........"
Sera: "Not to mention, this was done because fan readers are in disbelief that Mitsui-san is the rat. They think it's too simple and easy. So, someone incepted an idea into Gosho's head to make it so no one is the murderer."
Conan: "......."
Sera: "Shinichi-san? Are you there? Hello?........Conan-kun?"
Conan: *snaps out of shock into new shock*

Maybe, he just had that kind of knowledge from his "green cap" days?  >.>  Survival skills, plus, how to detect bombs?  In order to detect them, you must understand how they're made?  I don't know....  

Survival games are like paintball with small yellow plastic balls as ammunition instead of yummy paintballs or am i misunderstanding something here (wasn't this mentioned in the Kuroshiro arson case?)... can you  really get defusing/creating bomb knowledge with this?

and why does gosho need a research break right in the middle of a case.. how mean... *cry*

Shinichi: Looks like I don't know who's murderer. Probably it's Tamami. Whatever. I need a break, maybe I should go to Hawaii?

And for the colors, as I have stated before, I think there is too vague of a definition of what colors these animals have. I thought that the elephant would be grey, as ivory is only the tusks of the elephant. The rat could have been brown as bread, and as for seals, don't they often use the color of red or orange for the stamps, which could have been the color of fox?

I know I didn't really infuse the explanation of the colors with as much authority as was probably intended however I was pretty underwhelmed with how things were going by this point.

Right, but is it possible that he was using the survival game as part of some kind of secret training?  Of course, you can't gain knowledge of bombs from a survival game, but, you do get a good work-out on running, aiming, hiding, etc.  

And you know, it's funny that you brought up the arson case which suddenly vividly reminds me of Okiya......

He's Gosho. He can do whatever he wants and the world will still keep spinning!   I bet, depending on his English skills, he must be researching what the English speaking readers are saying...  I bet, we're involved in this "research break" that you speak of. But.........it can't be.  Nahhhh...

But anyways, I really liked your version. Especially, your second part. I was cracking over in my chair at the possibility that Tamami needed to run to the bathroom. Yet, you need to be careful when thinking these through. If Tamami needed the bathroom, she would've run instantly to use Miku's bathroom. ^_0   Not her own bathroom back in her room. Remember, she's 3 doors down from Miku's place. [Edit: Has been corrected.]

We just need to change up your story a bit, somehow, so she does use Miku's bathroom and then, she needed to go again but Miku won't let her.  :D

(Now, I'm starting to fall into the mindset that Tamami is lying about stomach problems and is pretty much timid from the start of being found out. Aww... Nooo.  Must... Must hang onto some hope that there's some twist to all this!!)
