Yay~ Less need for spoiler tags :D

Anyway, the one thing that's been bugging me (if speculation/translation so far is correct) is the bomber's reason for being there. It was more of a joke I made to myself while looking at the file, but I realized how much it made sense a little later.

I know the guy's desperate, but why go to bombing lengths? xD It's obviously for suspense and I do find it enjoyable, but the entire time Kogoro's face just screamed, "Geez, if you had the money to buy those bombs and that gun, why didn't you just hire me normally? Sheesh D:"
It'll probably be cleared up with the translation, but still xD

To keep talk going, how does everyone think Conan's going to save the day? Is he even going to save the day? Will something with Sera be revealed?

Curiouser and curiouser...
Spoiler:
As for the panty shot, is it bad that I - as a girl - kind of snickered at that panel? D:

Spoiler: 771
And how is that person so sure that the culprit is one of those three writers? He claims that one of the three murdered his sister and staged it as a suicide, but can he really be sure that it's not a suicide?

About the bombs, maybe they are fake, similar to the red shirt case? Strapping bombs to himself is suicidal, in a way. The whole request is quite odd, unless we assume that the bomber is suicidal and desperate to get revenge for his dead sister. Either that or he's very very impatient, since he threatens to only give Kogorou up until tomorrow morning.

On an additional note, maybe he decided only bombs will be useful since he heard that Ran is a karate champion, and suspected that guns (Which we don't even know to be real or not) could possibly be disarmed by her. As the bomber said, he heard that his (Kogorou's) daughter knew karate.

People probably think Conan will save the day since Sera tucked the keyholder between the phone to prevent it from closing/hanging up, and asked the bomber to repeat what he said. Only Conan, and maybe Ai (who could have heard it) know about the situation, ignoring hostages. Kogorou has already told the police that nothing is wrong, unless he is smart enough to not properly hang up.

But really, Sera could be the one to save the day. Just figure out the case, and they will be released?

Sorry for suddenly switching the focus away from Sera...but...

Come to think of it, the bomber seems to be a complete amateur at terrorism.
Spoiler:
Wouldn't it have been wiser to not allow hostages use cell phones/cut them from contact. Especially when you have Kogorou literally talking with the police while he is being held hostage? The bomb is a definite last resort too, considering how it's strapped on the bomber. If Kogorou did tell the police, the bomber would need to shoot him--that would mean that he wouldn't be able to find out who supposedly murdered his sister.

He did take cell phones, but allowed them to answer the phones, and didn't check for the phone to be closed completely (Even allowing Sera to put the phones back on Kogorou's desk) Either it's pure carelessness or he hasn't considered the possibility of someone leaving the phone open?

Spoiler:
Staged by Sera to force Conan to reveal his deduction power? Considering what Sera has done before, it's not surprising.

And it would explain why the request and the bomber were rather odd. It's definitely a possibility, but the hole in this theory is whether or not Conan would have actually phoned home at any point. Then again, Sera probably thought he would be home for the incident?

Spoiler:
As I understand from other's posts, the bomber forced Kogoro to solve the case about his sister's suicide? Why he couldn't just hire him?? As somebody said, bombs and guns are expansive too! There's only three options:
1) The bomber and mystery writers are hired by Sera and they're just playing their roles to force Conan to reveal his deduction abilities.
2) The bomber is kind of psychopath, so whatever he does, it doesn't have to be logical for normal person.
3) It's Gosho's mistake, because maybe he didn't think about it too much (just like the motive of suicide and the motive of murder in White Day Case, which were just riddiculous).
About Sera and the phone. There's also a few options:
1) Sera wants Conan to call police and do what NORMAL elementary student will do. (less probable, it's not Gosho's style)
2) Sera wants Conan to solve the case, show his abilities and rescue all of them. (more probable and it matches to "playing role" theory)
But I think that if Sera hired all of these people, it would be reaveled soon or later and she would be in trouble, so personally I don't support this idea. I believe it's Gosho's lack of ideas or simple psychopath. Anyway, don't you think that Sera is way too much interested in Conan? :)

Spoiler:
It is alway possible that once again you reading more into it then is there
Simple idea: said bomber Brought Duds ( they after all do not cost much). He would like to hire Korogo for real but can not afford him or is afraid Korogo would refuse the case. He iis using the duds to get him to listen to him and hoping Korogo will solve the case for nothing (it is called Pro Bono). He must let Korogo Solve this case or all is pointless. I sure Korogo will be allow to leave if neccessary for the case. Korogo is not really a hostage, but the others with him are shall we say dud hostages.
As I have not seen this yet a few questions. Are the three possible killers in the same room or are they to be called? What is the big deal about the cell phones? AS I see it the Police are very unlikely to come in shall we say guns blazing, if only because of the fact of the {quote} hostages {quote} being friends of the police. I also believe the bomber so called in reality has no bombs and this is can be called either a con or a scam. He does want his sister death solved, and while this might not be the best way to do it, this might be his only option. He likely told his story to the police, but they rebuffed him. He is afriad that Korogo will do so as well and that is why this hoax.

Spoiler:
The three possible murderers are indeed inside the room (The three female writers), according to the bomb man, I believe. According to the bomber, he said something along the lines of how his younger sister, despite being young and having won a literary award as a writer, died last month (from dipping a wound in hot water.) The police declared it to be a suicide, but he knows that her so called 'suicide' was a murder done by one of those three people.
