I don't think she's Bourbon because her age and gender does't match. She's too young to be a BO Operative. Gin suggest that Bourbon is a male and if Scar Akai is Bourbon, that guy also a male. I also don't think Gosho will place Bourbon is a spotlight (Where everyone talking about)

Anyway, you're probably right in saying that Shinichi wouldn't be able to hear Sera yelling over the phone.

But if Gin were actually literally confused by Rena's use of "he" (implying he knows Bourbon in female), that would make the fact that he didn't correct her mistake even stranger.

I dunno, I wouldn't really characterize his response as confused either. Rena brought up "he" out of nowhere and without context, and Gin just seems to ask who she's talking about.

I spent a lot of my thinking time into theorizing Sera's gender, so I'm going to wait until further evidence appears before deciding what I think her role is.

Also, off topic sort of, every time I see the title 'Jeet Kune Do' I read it as 'Meet Kune Do'. At this point, "Kune Do" is some character I'm still waiting to meet xD

The only thing so far I can see if that we need to wait (impatiently) to figure out more about Sera :I we've only seen her in thsi one case so things might change as the story goes on.

on a completely off topic note, I freaked out after seeing her last name. I swear she's a clone of my own Detective Conan char with slight look differences, different case appearance, and MAJOR personality differences D: IS GOSHO STALKING ME?! /sarcasm

I've just came after a week of school and well, don't have time to read this thread (as usual) and since I don't know if someone already noted it but, there are two important things (despiting the last one that we just read today (at least in my case)).

1.- Sera's eyes: At first I didn't noted it but after reading a second time (since I was in my PC with no internet and wanted to feel again the joy of the case and then...) I noted that the eyes are similar to Akai Shuuichi's eyes! She has the same bags under her eyes JUST LIKE SHUUICHI!

2.- She knew that Conan was a detective and also knew his name... if what I think it's true then Shuuichi told her about it. I'm also starting to consider another thing about Shuuichi, but since it might be that Chekhov already posted it I will not mention it (don't wanna risk myself again).

Well, after read 770 I also considered another point, but thaqt one is obvious, she suspects about Conan, not being SHinichi of course but she knows that there's something odd about him.

Well, after seeing that she is a girl I cannot feel more HAPPY ABOUT IT!! I'M SO THRILLED BY THE IDEA OF A FEMALE DETECTIVE SO I'M JUST SO HAPPY!! *-* WHEN OCTOBER COMES, I will cut my hair similar to hers *-*

Ahem, anyway, I definitely think it's odd that she has such distinctive eyes.  I mean, can anyone else think of another character other than Akai with eyes like that?  Also, she was never trying to hide her gender, cause when Megure calls her a boy she says, "hey wait" or something like that, but no one listens.  So yeah, I doubt she's a he, or undercover.  I have no idea what she is, though.  Although if 17 year old boys can turn into their 7 year old selves, I don't see why she can't be some sort of dragon...(like one of the chimeras in FMA  )
