There's no way that Shinichi would hear Sera's words from that far, AND there's no way that Sera would hear his response from that far. So... Sera heard Conan's words close to her. ^_^ Hope that Gosho made this situation on purpose.

Just a note for you people. Don't start a new thread for every theory. Any new theory thread which has something to do with Sera's identity, would be merged into this thread.

I myself would have preferred if this was left as a case thread and the theories about Sera's identity would be in another thread (Especially since later more stuff will happen and it'd be silly if in file 850, we would still be using this thread). I might ask Jd- about this later, though.

Personally I think that right now we don't have any clues that sugest to Sera=Bourbon...  Although the theories about the hotel registration are great. I think Sera will not be a BO agent or at least not very loyal to them because htat would certainly jeopardize Conan's situation since she seems to at least know Conan is not a normal kid.

The theory of Sera being the sister of Akai seems more plausible although I think Sera could still be a complete new character fighting or not the BO. If she was Akai's siter and she thought Conan was being fed up the solution of the cases by his brother, she is in for a big downer. If she thinks Conan knows something about hsi brother disapearance or she is just investigating anyone related, that's anther matter completely

I don't think Sera is a Mary Sue character as of yet. (And if we start like that it's not like our dear Conan-kun would score a 0 in the test). She is just an awesome character Haters gonna hate but I really don't know why they have taken it so badly against the girl when she still hasn't done anyting that deserves the pitchforks

The only bad thing I could think off is that Gosho is using this as as a way to delay advancing the plot but as "fillers" go this would be one of the best.

I'm really looking forward to the next developments. Sera has a lot of potentional as a character and as a plot developer as of now. Unfortuantely, others before her had too.

I don't think she's Bourbon because her age and gender does't match. She's too young to be a BO Operative. Gin suggest that Bourbon is a male and if Scar Akai is Bourbon, that guy also a male. I also don't think Gosho will place Bourbon is a spotlight (Where everyone talking about)

My theory, keeping with the Sera Masumi/Okiya Subaru/Moroboshi Dai/Akai line of thought:

Sera was in America. She heard that her brother (Akai), who was in the FBI, had died (there may have even been a funeral). However, she doesn't believe it. She researches some things, and finds out that this super-smart 7-year-old was somehow involved. She thinks that perhaps the 7-year-old is working together with her still-alive brother to hide the fact that he's still alive, and that the 7-year-old's deductions are actually coming from her brother. But when she hears that it's coming from this Kudou Shinichi guy, she figures out that something else is up, and then she notices Conan running off. Then she realizes that there's something seriously wrong with this 7-year-old. XD

I think the question "how did she find out conan is involved" would occur.
If she's also in the FBI, then it's "solved". She could easily check what akai was doing by asking FBI agents.

If she's not, how did she connect Conan with Akai? In case she was in america all the time?

If she saw conan in England, then she would know/guess that conan is a great detective. But there shouldn't be an obvious link to Akai tho.
(just in case she knows Akai sniped Gin while Gin wanted to kill Kogoro. since Conan is connected to Kogoro, which is a public fact. Tho I doubt she knows about the sniping incident)

But if she was looking for Akai, maybe she encountered Scar Akai? Followed him and saw the bombing incident. Conan wasn't very stealthy during that case either.
She could have disguised as Scar Akai too to get in touch with people Akai knew. But then again she would have to know about the BO (scar on the face and looking at the sniper chianti :x)

Shuuichi Akai can be her uncle, Kleene. And maybe even his daughter and Akemi her mother... that would make Haibara her auntie <- not serious

I have to agree with this. If that label is going to come around...well, it shouldn't as many of the DC characters aren't exactly as deep as the Grand Canyon if you get what I'm saying. DC isn't really for developing characters so much as telling the slow plot lined with mysteries. Not to mention, we haven't seen much of Sera at this point so it's hard to tell how she's going to fit in. Until everything's done and over with we can't tell what her overall character is like. Who knows? She could end up having more development than anyone else combined, she could end up having a distorted development where we're not sure what happened, or she could appear only to be killed next time advancing the plot. She could even be a shapeshifting dragon.

All I'm saying is it's just too early to start the mobs. :3
