Youse might want to integrate this thread into this one, to keep the speculation in one place.

It would make sense if she is English (of Japanese descent) and learnt of Conan in connection with the London case. His intelligence impressed her enough to look more into him, but I don't think she had figured out he was Shinichi yet, but might have heard of him. She doesn't necessarily have to know that Conan is Shinichi, but it's obvious that he was never on that phone and Sera will find out the full truth soonish. Problem is: That won't further the plot one bit.

But then she would have been in the country long before the London case. The suitcase clearly suggests that she just flew in, so UK or US. Although she could just be from another part of Japan, but she doesn't seem to have an accent.

why assume that Bourbon has been in the country the whole time? The BO has international operations, and we know Bourbon's supposed to be an amazing detective so maybe her services would be needed elsewhere. Besides, who knows what's actually in the suitcase?

About that Shotacon thingy. What's the reason for saying to Ran "You are totally my type?"

I have a feeling that maybe she's trying to tease Conan because she knew the relationship between Ran and Shinichi --> She knew Conan is Shinichi, or at least suspect it. That would explain why she deduced wrong on purpose to confirm her suspicion.

I don't agree with you. In fact, I don't think she was trying to hide her gender, as on one page she was gonna say that she's a girl when Takagi misunderstood her for a boy.
Like said in previous pages, I think she meant "you'r my type of opponent" or something like that.

If Sera really was Bourbon, I'm pretty sure that their running into each other would be planned, instead of being a random happenstance (especially as Sera knows enough to know that Ran's the champion, and may have even been following her at the tournament), it's not farfetched to think that Sera realized they were gonna stay at a hotel after the championship and may have gotten some luggage if she didn't have it in the first place.

It should be noted that Sera never actually got a room at the hotel either, as we still don't know 100% that she ever made the reservation. All that the exchange says is "What, I totally made a reservation!" to which the employee replies "Oh, sorry but we should have declined it." This doesn't mean that Sera ever actually made the reservation, all it means is that the employee thought "I don't see her name anywhere in here, and we don't have any vacancies... I guess we must have said the wrong thing to her". So it's very plausible that Sera just had the luggage as part of a disguise, said "oh, you're going to Haido? WHAT A COINCIDENCE SO AM I :V", followed them there and pretended to have reserved a room when she never really had, just to have an excuse to chill with Conan & Co.

edit: I also don't think the BO exactly live in some sort of Den of Evil, that seems like a wonderful way to have the entire house of cards fall apart when one of them gets caught.

I don't think it's a strict rule that all female BO's have to have wine-related names.
Kir was also the first one with a cocktail-name I think.

And Vermouth is a fortified wine.
Sherry is a fortified wine.
Chianti is a wine.
Kir is a cocktail with mostly wine in it.
But pisco is a grape brandy.

Since Sera is quite the tomboy, maybe Anokata mistook her for a boy too? XD

Sera is roughly the same size as Ran while Akai is quite a bit bigger than her.
Even if he was only seen in passing, Jodie/Camel should catch on to that and in the bank, Jodie was right next to him, if he was substantially smaller than she would expect. And when Scar-Akai is seen in a crowd, he stands out. Sera wouldn't be big enough for that.

And the other people were not directly next to them. And they also could be "small" like ran. In japan people aren't so tall anyway.

And if you see sonoko and ran in a crowd, they are usually also as tall as the bystanders. Or have different "height" because of perspective, meaning they are more in the front, so they are "taller" (look taller because they are nearer)

It's actually quite strange that Scar Akai dodged to be next to one of the characters for too long. He usually just passed by.

You're absolutely right, that's entirely possible

Yes, but I don't believe they the BO members would permanently live in hotels, since it would make it hard to operate inconspiciously presumably the BO provides a lodging of sorts.

Well, all the female BOs' code names so far are wine-related, which indicates that this is in fact a rule. And pisco isn't female.
