i do think sera's way of liking ran is kinda like akira todou(special a)when it comes to hikari hanazono....haha, preventing kei from entering the scene...haha~!!
i hope sera see's shinichi like akira sees kei...XDD

Oh snap! My theory about the case was actually right for once. ...Does that mean the trick was really obvious then?

Anyway, judging from Sera's expression after her mistake it does look like she screwed up on purpose to see what Conan would do.  She just wasn't expecting the phone call to suddenly arrive from Shin'ichi.

Looks like Gosho might have made a bit of a mistake...

Cell phones make a weird feedback noise when they're as close together as Conan was holding them when he first made the call. It's hard to believe that a seven-year-old's arm-span would be big enough to separate them, and someone would have noticed the noise.

In the end, it's not like it matters, but I wouldn't have expected Gosho to overlook those sorts of details.

And while I'm posting, I might as well say that I so thought Sera looked like a girl and it's SO AWESOME that she really is one. And if the deduction mistake really was on purpose, that means she's a genius on at least the same level as Shinichi, Heiji and co.  Which is also awesome. 8D

And I wish she really was a lesbian, but the "my type" thing was probably a weird wording or something. Doesn't matter. There's always fic. :3

I'm curious about that as well. It seems to me like he knew, the 'my type' comment threw him off and then the winking just confused him further to the point he almost didn't care. Then as the case went along...I don't know, to me it seemed he treated Sera like a guy. *shrugs* I think it'd be funny to see his reaction to 'Sera's a girl' but at this point the chances of us seeing that are slim as Ran would probably end up telling him. ...Or, y'know, he knows. 'Cause he's Conan. 'Cause Conan knows everything >3>
