Without any help from Conan is my thought on it. I can’t recall the last time he’s solved a case on his own without him helping out.

I want to see a serial killer. Like...one that just kills for the heck of it. One that the focus of the case is on. I know that'd mean there'd be nothing to solve, but it'd be so fun D: Especially if it was a child killer or something and they're brought into it because they try for Conan
I don't get why people are ranting about Kogorou not being competent enough to solve a case by himself. Don't 305-306 qualifiy as one of those cases—damn, he almost outwitted Conan, too!

It basically does, but he still had to rely on Conan to get two of the hints. But yes, if Conan used Kogoro to solve the case, it would have been one of those cases where the culprit would've said, "Yes, you got everything right except..." which is good for Kogoro I suppose.

as was noted, he has never solved an entire case without conan's help. he has gotten the basic idea several times and had a better idea of the culprit than conan a couple times, but he hasn't been able to finish the job.
