you can notice haibara was happy to see that he turns to ayumi and started to have a crush on ayumi too....(so i don't think you can take the crush of mitsuhiko too  seriously,since he always put haibara and ayumi on the same level )

That's why she seemed glad after Mitsu turned to Ayumi. But she most likely didn't mean that sentence since she's herself a big animal lover.

Genta is the only one who doesn't have any interaction with Haibara and Conan. Maybe both of them can't stand him.
(movie 12 was my favorite because I'm a musician and Genta didn't talk much...)

If anyone wants Haibara moments that aren't Canon then there are some in the movies too. Like the Haibara asks Mitsu if he wants to join her in the bath scene. Or the Mitsu gives her his jacket scene (although he only did that because Conan gave his to Ayumi) or the Haibara and Mitsuhiko moments in movie 5.

Ahh, I read a slightly different translation of that ending part. In that translation Ai complained that the man was more worried about the well-being of the bear instead of Mitsuhiko and her (meaning he would risk their lives just to help the bear). When Mitsuhiko tried to justify the actions of the man ("He knows im since 20 years") she still insisted that his actions were wrong.
I guess Mitsuhiko was abit shocked by what harsh opinion Haibara had of the world.
And at the end she was smiling at the optimistic and innocent view the three children had (not because Mitsuhiko turned his attention to Ayumi) - and at least to me it seemed like she would like to feel exactly like them (if you ask me it was a nostalic smile)  .

You have it backwards. We don't know Conan's feelings for Ai(though he has been made aware of them) but we do know Ai's feelings for Conan. So the pairing has a higher possibility than 1%, not high enough, but higher than what you are giving it credit for.

anyways i don't think it would change much anyways, considering what you said, i came to the conclusion that as long as the obstacle of Conan's feelings to Ran exist, Ai will most likely keep her feelings barred up forever since she definitely isn't a girl who would destroy a relationship for her own gains.

And i think (currently) Conan wouldn't have feelings for Ai anyways, more like he considers himself as a big brother trying to protect his sister

Watch the series again(and read the manga), it's there. I would reply with a really long post with links to each situation, even the ones that have third parties(Yukiko) essentially confirm her feelings...but that's what everyone would expect from me.

Actually, Akai knows Ai quite well. During the Clash of Red and Black, he got to know Akemi thinking she would give him a link to the BO and help him reach the main boss. But Akemi was such a low member in the organization herself. But Akai realized her sister, Shiho Miyano was a mor eimportant member, so he became very acquainted with her. By knowing her, he was able to get noticed in the BO for his skills, and got to know some members, which helped him rise in the BO hierarchy until he became an executive member working as Gin's partner.......

Akai probably knows Ai the most aside from Conan.

I think that AixMistuhiko would not work, however, this is not a topic on whether they would work or not, but how cute they look together. Why does everyone who look cute together have to end up together? They may not, but they still do look cute in some moments to some people.  ;)

However, I personally don't think they look cute at all. I think it's like AyumixConan: annoying. I don't think they will work for the following reasons, adding to my distaste of this pairing:

1) Haibara's mind will always be 18+ years ahead of the DBoys. she will have gone to school twice.

2) Mistuhiko is at a young naive stage where he can't even decide between Ayumi or Haibara. Haibara doesn't have time for that childishness.

3)Haibara has had a rough, doggy-dog life at this moment, and Mitsuhiko is young and not exposed to the world. So he hasn't acquired much wisdom or understanding. He will never truly understand her generation because he didn't grow up in her generation.

4) Haibara's life is full of secrets and lies, that Mitsuhiko can't possibly understand. She will be living a lie if she stays a child, and will be lying to the DBoys. And the argument a couple of posts ago was that Conan/Shinichi does this with Ran.....well, this is exactly why I don't think they will work very well either...well, realistically, wouldn't work very well, but Shonen likes to make "ideal" romance or whatever.  ::)
If someone can't identify with your life or doesn't have much in common with you, and can't relate to your experiences, they tend to make the worst lovers because they'll have a harder time trying to understand you. Mitsuhiko would never be able to understand how the BO was or what she had to go through or the lies she made. No matter if she told him, he would feel sorry for her, but not show genuine feeling like he knows what she's been through. He'll more than likely say "Cheer up, I'm here." which is not what you should say in that situation, but learn to identify with the person, though it's harder for people who can't understand.
There's only three people who truly know her well: Conan/Shinichi, Agasa, and Akai. Conan/Shinichi knows her feelings and hardships, and he feels sympathy for her because he knows how the BO is, and what they are capable of doing. He has also recently gotten to know her parents and how they were (also by prying in her mother's tapes and such...).

He understands and respects her knowledge on the BO and the APTX drug and they generally know all the same people.

Mitsuhiko can hardly compare. Same with Ayumi. They are too naive and are from a whole different generation of people. If they do get together, they might not be a very happy or lasting couple. Mitsuhiko wants to be there for her and can't understand why he can't....well, because she's about 10-12 years older than him.....
