But right now I think this is something were Conan/Shinichi is wrong.

exactly! Bruce Lee did not start practicing it until he was an adult in his 20s! He didn't even conceive of it until a bit earlier than that in college!

Yes, he taught Jun Fan Kung Fu (which is his) in '59 and created his concept of JKD in the late 60's. He was born in 1940.
