Re: Ramen so Good (765-???)
I really really want it to be a suicide attempt gone wrong...or right. I would go with the barbershop manager guy, but I feel he's too obvious and is a red herring.
The dude kept randomly going on about, "It'd be funny if someone died from the ramen" and all that more than once, iirc. Why keep making random declarations like that anyway?
We know the guy was having money troubles (some people would commit suicide for this), and he hated that ramen shop. Why not kill himself in the shop to give the owner bad publicity? Two birds with one stone.
I guess, for once, I just want the solution to be a simple one, like in that Kappa case.
Of course, I can change my mind. I haven't read the second part of this case yet...which I shall go and do right now and see if my view or opinion will change any.
Edit: Alrighty...so much for suicide, like I was hoping for. This case has me baffled because of where all the traces of poison was. I noticed that he touched his handkerchief a lot, but seems it wasn't there. I still think the barbershop owner is the culprit, though, since the suicide thing is completely out (or is it?). =P I still want it to be a poisoning gone wrong.

Re: Ramen so Good (765-???)
@ssjup81: I think the "disappearing" location had something to do with humidity and heat. Anyone who wears glasses every day and has done so for 18 years probably figured out what happened on the last two pages: Conan figured something out after his glasses fogged up when trying to enter the heated shop on that cold day. Kogoro also commented on the haze, so we also know that it was probably somewhat humid.
It is possible to have been a suicide: the poison on his hands was more potent than that on the chopsticks or table, so he likely touched both the table and chopsticks with his already-poisoned fingers. Also note that he didn't touch ANYTHING with those two fingers, except possibly the table depending on the positioning of his fingers, until he grabbed the chopsticks. If he really was ambidextrous, I would think he'd do a bit more than just eat with his left hand. I think he even grabbed his water glass with his right hand at one point! If poison powder was found in his pocket, it's possible that he had placed it there beforehand and then just before entering the shop put his fingers in his pocket to put the poison on them.
Of course, that's all a bit elaborate for a suicide, imo, so my second guess would have to be the barber. They haven't mentioned searching his shop, so it's possible he contaminated the victim's fingers over there and of course tried to dispose of the evidence away from the ramen shop.

I've worn glasses for nearly 25 out of my nearly 30 years of existence, and that didn't even fully come to mind for me, but I do feel it's the barbershop owner for some of the things you've said, like how he could've done something there and stuff without anyone being none the wiser.WolfenAmphithere wrote: @ssjup81: I think the "disappearing" location had something to do with humidity and heat. Re: Ramen so Good (765-???)
Who knows. I'm trying to think back to times where my glasses have fogged up for some reason, but my mind is coming up blank on anything specific. It has, of course, but I just can't recall what the weather was like when it happened.

I think Taninaka the Barber is the culprit and I probably know how he did it. Well, mostly.

Re: Ramen so Good (765-???)
That makes sense fitting in with my theory, but instead of what I said about it being due to heat/humidity, Conan realized the truth simply because his glasses fogging up made him think of glasses.

Re: Ramen so Good (765-???)
Hmm, my glasses fogged up today. It's cold here, so when I came in to the heated room, my glasses fogged up. Still think it's the barber shop owner, and the theory M.A.D. came up with is very plausible.

I´m not reading it, so I don´t know the whole story, but what you wrote there, isn´t that like very unlikely to go right? I mean, common, the killer needs all the luck in the world for that to work!abee94 wrote: Okay... Re: Ramen so Good (765-???)
It was probably planned and it was a cold day. When cold meets heat vapor, it condenses on glass surface. Somewhat that part was mentioned in the "spoiler". And it's not like you're gonna continue walk in when you cannot see what's up with your foggy glass... you will have to wipe it somehow. and hand contact is unevitable.hgokuh wrote: I´m not reading it, so I don´t know the whole story, but what you wrote there, isn´t that like very unlikely to go right? So the culprit obtained the victim's glasses during a "grooming process" the victim underwent before coming (normal procedure) and, I dunno replaced the glasses or spread the poison on the glasses, as soon as Saizu collapsed, he changed his glasses when he squat next to him. I think those poison traces wasn't planned and it was just pure unfortunate that he could not dispose of the victim's glasses.
BY the way, these are just conclusions according how the pictures in the "spoiler" goes... so~~ I may be wrong interpreting it...

Re: Ramen so Good (765-???)
Somehow I think the motive is just lame. I thought the culprit had some grudge against the real estate president.
