not really. I enjoy the slow pace of the series. Besides, if they were in every episode, they wouldn't do such a good job at hiding how disappointing a few of the cases are (the 4 part thing with Eisuke around the 460s and the last Okiya Subaru appearance immediately come to mind).

And now that I think about it, how often do we get a case that just has Conan, Kogoro and Ran that isn't AO? Once a year maybe? Almost always there is the Detective Boys, Takagi and Sato, Kaito Kid, Heiji and Kazuha, Eri or the latest mysterious character.

it's the next one.

They don't always go in order in the anime. Presumably to make things more interesting (kinda makes sense) and because the order often doesn't matter.

Not a drastic addition, but maybe put something of importance in each of the episodes.

I hated 203 (The Black Wing of Icarus pt.1) because it took the whole episode to get the murder (by liberally wasting time), and made it so obvious who the killer was I didn't even want to watch 204.

"Ran messes everything up" is not really an explaination. Neither is "It makes me irritated" without explaining what part is irritating. An episode being "annoying" isn't quite what I ment either. I was mostly looking for cases in which there's a detail that just doesn't fit or wouldn't actually work that way.
Well sorry if we can't name a specific episode?

I suppose I must have phrased my request incorrectly. I was pointing out a case where Aoyama-sensei Did Not Do The Reasearch (which I was aware of only because it happens to touch on stuff I work with/around, and thus falls under my "area of expertise"). I was looking to see if anyone else could come up with other cases of failed research or "that shouldn't work". I was looking for detailed reasoning/explaination of what shouldn't work or doesn't work and why. For this reason, I provided a reasonably extensive and detailed explanation of what doesn't work in the example case, why it doesn't work, and how it actually would work in the real world.
My apologies if I have offended anyone, but I did not mean to ask for "stupid AOs" or "characters I hate". That is likely to lead rapidly to arguments of opinion that are likely to get rather heated, and is not at all what I wanted to do with this topic.
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.

The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

P.S., why the "white wich" case still not in the anime?
What exactly was "illogical" about the "Radiant Charm" case? I'm afraid I didn't catch the failed-logic bit.

No, you asked for cases we didn't like for any reason and gave one with factual errors as an example.
miakakiri wrote: There's a topic for the best cases, so here's one for the cases that are really lame, or wouldn't actually work. (Or whatever other reason you might hate them.) [Emphasis added]
If you want a thread that focuses on failures of fact and logic, start another one and be more specific.

For something more along those lines, but emotional rather than logical, I'll say that a lot of the motives for murder seem pretty flimsy, and I'm not even thinking of those boring "he took credit for my research/invention/work" ones. To hit on 203-204 again,
Spoiler:
he kills his dead brother's highly temperamental ex-girlfriend because she won't visit his grave when he suddenly appears out of nowhere and asks?!
It's as if the people of Conan's world quickly resort to homicide as means of conflict resolution.

A very funny parody could be made around that idea.

Person 1: "WHY...? WHY DID YOU KILL HIM?!"

Person 2: "He... he.... he... he called me stupid... :("

Spoiler:
But we were shown that she makes exagerated statements she doesn't mean to attack others, as when she said she should kill herself because no one wanted her. It came off to me like she was doing the same thing when the guy's brother spoke to her. She just didn't want anything to do with him, and I can't really blame her. A sudden request like that from a years-dead lover's sibling strikes me as kinda weird.

She was pretty unpleasent, but unlike the more common cartoonish boorishness the murder victims often show, it seemed like she couldn't help it; she was just that badly adjusted, emotionally(she even seemed to hurt herself as much as others). Killing her for it is just strikes me as insane.

I don’t like the cases when there’s no evidence due to some clever scheme they made up, but the criminal is too stupid to keep his mouth shut. >:(
Lets face it, in half of the cases the criminals only get arrested because they said something they shouldn’t have.

This is very true. And I think it's funny when people get all scared when some kid accuses them of a crime and everyone else is like: "OMGAWD."

Either I'm just very confused OR... Someone skipped to the end first. Because sometimes you know who it is, based on where they went, but somehow someone manages to sneak out undetected.
