Re: That Case with the Clocks (files 762-76X)
Hakuba's a respected detective. Why would they call in Kogorou if he was known to be attending?
Also, I'm going with Chiaki. She was kissing up way too much for someone who's brother was potentially killed by this person. Plus, when all else fails, it's either the Butler or the woman. But only when there's only one female suspect, which is the case here.

As Dwight Schrute once said: It's always the one you most medium suspect.
That's why it has to be the clock.
That's why it has to be the clock.

So every time a clock/watch makes an appearance, it's BO-related?

And the letter started like this:
"I am the Watchman of Time
And you a foolish woman who commits blasphemy against time's flow..."
It's also interesting to note that Conan repeats that part of the letter and points it out

Seems rather forced and too risky.Khellendos wrote: Karube pulls out the folding umbrella, which has a knife inside, stabs her, and then replaces the knife in the umbrella in such a way the blood pools into the water resistant plastic.
I'd say he threw the weapon out of the window, but......at his first appearance, he doesn't wear gloves, and at the last page he also doesn't wear gloves. That said, before the murder, in the party, we don't see his hands at all.
I don't think he did it since the umbrella thing seemed a bit too obvious and it might play as a Kogoro deduction instead.

The name of the file just makes me thing about the HP case called the Clocks. A major part of that case was a phone that did not ring. I got a feeling that if the umbrella a major clue, it might be like the above case, and it was not used when the person needing a alibi said they was out in the rain. A DRY UMBRELLA.

i bet/really REALLY hope that this is a BO case. or rather, there might be a hint/link to the BO in the end. the "going against the flow of time" is just TOO CLOSE to what Haibara said (or was it Vermouth?). i feel like everyone is acting a little off in this case, almost as if it wasn't Gosho who drew it. :/

It's probably just Gosho teasing us. I wouldn't get my hopes up.caribou wrote: i bet/really REALLY hope that this is a BO case. or rather, there might be a hint/link to the BO in the end. the "going against the flow of time" is just TOO CLOSE to what Haibara said (or was it Vermouth?). i feel like everyone is acting a little off in this case, almost as if it wasn't Gosho who drew it. :/

I don't think he's teasing us at all. You're just imagining things. I think the phrase 'formless sword' is quite important and hints at the murder weapon. Whatever that may be.

Re: That Case with the Clocks (files 762-76X)
Just read the file and wonder if the Clockmaster was serious when he said that he joined the Birthday party society by coincidence while wearing a suite and a tie. Or is he always wearing a suite during work?
However the architects behavior reminds me on a Agatha Christie book(Evil under the sun), where the culprit has also a pipe which he did not smoke. Probebly the architect backstabbed the victim with the mouthpiece of his pipe and afterwards all he had to do was put it back in his mouth and drink the blood. Disguisting, very dangerous for him(in the case she has a seriouse desease(Awsome ending:Murderer dies trough infectious desease)) and not very believable.
All jokes beside, the hint in the letter regarding the homicideweapon (formless sword) might be a metaphor for time or a clock and therefore I think again the Clockmaster would be the most suspicious person.
Goodnight everyone

Maybe the formless sword refers to an ice weapon, since it melts? But I think it's more likely that it's a poison that she ingested (on the clocks she loved so much?) since liquids don't have a form...
(Oh, and excuse my siggy. I've been messing with it so it's kinda in progress.)

Re: That Case with the Clocks (files 762-76X)
I don't think there will be any BO story connection in this case, because the pattern is usually if there's connection with BO, there will be a hint (like Conan remember about the text) in the first case, then the connection will show up during the case or by the conclusion of the case. Seeing that Conan didn't remember about time in the file 762, it's less likely to happen.

Naw, can't be a poison, there was a ton of blood. Much more likely it's some kind of knife.Eri-chan wrote: Maybe the formless sword refers to an ice weapon, since it melts?
